2 PERTH TO MONKEY MIA

Eleven day passengers join us today after breakfast. Travel north
via the 'lobster fishing port' of Port
Denison. After lunch we continue north
across the Greenough Flats passing the
'leaning trees' then travel via Geraldton
and Northampton arriving in the world
heritage listed area of Monkey Mia. We stay right on the beach where the dolphins come in, this evening join an optional Astronomy beach talk* at 9.00pm.

3 - MONKEY MIA TO CARNARVON Option
1: (B,L,D) Option 2: (B) Spend time at the waters edge
this morning where you may encounter
a visit by the famous Monkey Mia dolphins.
As they are wild, dolphin appearances
can't be guaranteed, but interacting
with people has been a ritual for many
years. Following this, an optional cruise
on board the 'Shotover' a 60 foot sailing
catamaran (own expense). Afterwards
we visit the incredible Shell Beach
and Stromatolites before travelling
north to the sub-tropical town of Carnarvon.

4 - CORAL BAY, NINGALOO REEF Option

we arrive at Coral Bay, centrepiece
of the pristine Ningaloo Reef. Forming
a 260 kilometre barrier along the coast
the reef creates a sheltered lagoon
inhabited by a rich and colourful array
of sea life including exquisite corals,
rare starfish, giant clams, over 460
species of fish, manta rays, dugong
and dolphins. Choose this afternoon
between a coral viewing or snorkelling
cruise.

Option
1 - 1.5 hour Glass Bottom Boat
Cruise A 1.5 hour cruise on the
glass bottom boat, ideal for viewing
the coral. You also enjoy a fascinating
commentary on the biology of the
reef. This tour is combined with
the 1.5 hour snorkelling tour so
passengers will be on the water
for a total of 1.5 hours.

2 - 1.5 hour Reef Snorkel Cruise
A 1.5 hour snorkelling cruise, great
for a close up experience with this
pristine reef. As the areas in which
we snorkel are quite shallow, this
tour is suitable for all levels
of snorkellers.

5 - CARNARVON TO KALBARRI

Head
to the coastal resort town of Kalbarri.
Known for wildflowers (Jul-Oct) and
magnificent rocky landscapes we visit
Hawks Head Lookout in Kalbarri National Park.

6 - KALBARRI TO PERTH

Homeward
bound, we enjoy sightseeing along the
Kalbarri coastal gorges then travel
south breaking for lunch at the rock
lobster fishing village of Cervantes
gateway to the renowned Pinnacles Desert,
an amazing moon-like landscape and truly
one of Australia's most mystical experiences.
Time will be allowed to stroll among
these limestone spires and take photographs,
with arrival back in Perth at approximately
7.00 pm.

7 - WAVE ROCK

Leaving
the city limits behind us, we head east
through the scenic Darling Ranges with
a stop to enjoy morning tea (own expense)
at historic York, the first township
founded in the Avon Valley. Visit the Dog Cemetary before arriving in Hyden. Continuing on, view Hippo's Yawn, we break to enjoy a genuine Australian
style picnic lunch at the Wave Rock
Wildflower Shop. Whilst here see Wave Rock and the ancient Gnamma Holes, before visiting either a Wildlife Park or a unique antique lace collection. Leaving Wave Rock, we visit the Humps and Mulka's Cave.
Return to Perth via the small
country town of Babakin for afternoon tea (own expense). Arrive in Perth at approximately 8.30pm. Dinner & Overnight: Hotel

DAY
8 - PERTH & FREMANTLE TOUR WITH CRUISE

Starting
in Perth city, the tour takes in all
key attractions and historical points
of interest, starting with Kings Park
botanical gardens, where you will have
time to experience a walk through the
trees canopies on the new Tree Top Walk.
Later we continue to Cottesloe Beach
before arriving at historic Fremantle.
Here join a Swan River Cruise back to Perth with Captain Cook Cruises. Onboard, relax into panoramic scenery of Perth as you enjoy a Western Australian wine tasting whilst cruising by extravagant waterfront houses of Millionaires Row. Return to Perth at approx. 12.30pm. Alternatively, return on a later cruise.

9 - PERTH TO ALBANY Option

travel southwards via the Stirling Range
and Porongurup Range National Parks,
before reaching historic Albany, Western
Australia's first European settlement.

10 - ALBANY TO PEMBERTON Option

After
coastal sightseeing visiting 'The Gap'
and 'Natural Bridge', we travel via
Denmark through spectacular karri tree
foresets to the coastal resort town
of Walpole. Here we join a luncheon cruise on Nornalup
Inlet, widely regarded as one of the
last great wilderness areas. Next stop is
the Valley of the Giants 'Tree Top Walk'
which reaches 40 metres high into the
forest canopy. A ground level walk is
available through the Ancient Empire,
a remarkable pocket of Tingle Forest,
wide girthed trees up to 5 metres wide.

11 - PEMBERTON TO MARGARET RIVER

We
begin at the 61 metre tall Gloucester
Tree a bush fire watchtower lookout
followed by the Fine Wood Craft Gallery,
Western Australia's most awarded regional
gallery. After morning tea at Beedalup
Falls, we lunch at Australia's most
southwesterly point, Augusta and visit
Cape Leeuwin where the Indian and Great
Southern Oceans meet. Entering the Margaret
River Region, we stop for coastal views
at Surfer's Point Lookout.

12 - MARGARET RIVER TO PERTH

This
morning we visit Eagles Heritage Raptor
Centre housing the largest collection
of raptors in Australia. We take a guided
tour of Mammoth Cave followed by wine
tasting at Xanadu Winery then a lively
Australian sheep dog and shearing demonstration
at the Yallingup Shearing Shed. Our
last stop is at Busselton Jetty, the
longest wooden jetty in the Southern
Hemisphere, return to Perth at approximately
6.30 pm. Eleven day passengers tour concludes here.
