Pinnacles most
comprehensive 4WD tour combining land
and air exploration of the Kimberley.
The most rugged and time consuming elements
of our longest 4WD journey have been
replaced with scenic air flights resulting
in a compact and very comfortable 8
day itinerary that features all the
key icons and landmarks the Kimberley
is famous for.

Day
1: Broome to Mt Hart Wilderness Lodge
(L, D) Setting off early from
Broome we break en route at the Prison
Boab Tree for morning tea and then visit
the pioneer town of Derby, also known
for its huge tides. Then we head
north up the famous Kimberley stock
route the 'Gibb River Road', arriving
at Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge after
lunch. This afternoon you have the option
to relax in the beautiful surroundings
of this once cattle station homestead
or take a hike (easy) and swim in nearby
Barker Pool. Later enjoy champagne and
cheese as you watch the sun set over
the King Leopold Ranges.

Day
2: Mt Hart to Fitzroy Crossing (B, L,
D) Today we visit Windjana Gorge
regarded as one of the classic features
of world geology and a great freshwater
crocodile spotting site then Tunnel
Creek, an amazing 750 metre long flooded
cavern before travelling on to Fitzroy
Crossing for a BBQ dinner.

3: Fitzroy Crossing to Halls Creek (B,
L, D) This morning we head to
Geikie Gorge for a morning 3 hour Darngku
Heritage Cruise tour hosted by local
Aboriginal Bunuba Cultural guides. We
learn of fascinating Aboriginal bush
tucker and plant uses, animal tracking,
Dreamtime stories and cultural matters,
view geological sea fossils and spot
native animals including crocodiles.
This afternoon we explore Halls Creek
and surrounds including China Wall.

Day
4: Halls Creek to Kununurra (B, L, D) This
morning travel to Turkey Creek for a
thrilling 45 minute scenic helicopter
flight over the amazing Bungle Bungles.
Experience the thrill of taking off
and flying over incredible ravines and
gorges. Arrive into Kununurra late afternoon.
Upgrade
to Scenic Flight & Ground Tour in
the Bungle Bungles - Already included
in your tour is a 45 minute helicopter
flight over the Bungle Bungles from
Turkey Creek. Why not take the opportunity
to further explore and add-on a scenic
flight to Kununurra and/or a ground
tour in the Bungle Bungles.
Option
1: Bungles to Kununurra Scenic
Flight – After your scenic Bungles
helicopter flight ex Turkey Creek,
you will be dropped at the Bungles
airstrip. Here join a light aircraft
for further sightseeing of the Bungles,
then onto Argyle Diamond Mine, Ord
River and the massive Lake Argyle
before you land in Kununurra. A
transfer to the hotel to meet up
with your tour group is included.
Minimum 2 passengers, $265 per person.
Option
2: Ground Tour & Bungles
to Kununurra Scenic Flight - Add-on
to option 1 a ground tour of the
Bungle Bungles, which includes entry
fees, lunch, afternoon tea and hike
(moderate walk) into Cathedral Gorge,
before taking the scenic flight
(same as option 1) via Bungle Bungles,
Argyle Diamond Mine, Ord River and
Lake Argyle to Kununurra. Minimum
2 passengers, $545 per person.

Day
5: Kununurra to El Questro Wilderness
Park (B, L, D)
This morning we
take a spectacular cruise up the Ord
River to Lake Argyle. We then visit
Argyle Homestead and hear tales of the
early settlers, then we take a drive
around the Ord River Irrigation Scheme
Plantations and visit Ivanhoe Crossing.
After lunch we rejoin the Gibb River
Road and head to El Questro Wilderness
Park for our 2 night stay. This afternoon
you have the option to hike to Emma
Gorge (strenuous). Dinner & Overnight:
El Questro Wilderness Park - Township
Bungalows (ensuite rooms)

to the Deluxe El Questro Homestead:
We highly recommend you don't miss the
chance to indulge in a deluxe accommodation
upgrade to the infamous El Questro Homestead
for 2 nights. Perched on the edge of
a gorge cliff the homestead is the finest
5 star accommodation in the Kimberley.
Meals, alcohol and some excursions are
included in rate. Only 6 rooms are available.
Cost for 2 nights inclusive: $1,495pp
twin share or $1,945pp for a single
person. (Note: Special food/dietary
requirements for your stay at the Homestead
must be advised at least 4 weeks prior
to tour departure).
Day
6: El Questro Wilderness Park (B, L,
D) Today we have a day to explore
El Questro Wilderness Park, 1 million
acres of it. This morning we visit Zebedee
Hot Springs (easy walk), bring bathers
as you can bath in the hot pools. We
then explore some of the many gorges
found on EL Questro (gorges visited
will depend on fitness levels). You
may also choose to enjoy optional activities
including the afternoon Chamberlain
Gorge cruise where you will see some
Aboriginal rock art, 4WD or helicopter
Barramundi Fishing guided tours, scenic
helicopter flights or horse riding.
Tonight enjoy some outback hospitality
around the El Questro Township.

Park - Township Bungalows (ensuite rooms)
Day
7: El Questro to Drysdale (B, L, D) This
morning we travel along the Gibb River
Road via Pentecost Ranges and river
crossing through cattle country, before
arriving at Miner's Pool on the Drysdale
River for a BBQ lunch and swim. After
lunch we arrive at Drysdale River Station
for our overnight stay. Recharge with
a rest or swap stories over a well-earned
beer with your travel companions at
Annie's Bar, the onsite bush bar.

Day
8: Fly Mitchell Plateau to Broome (B,
L) Today enjoy a 3-hour scenic
flight transfer back to Broome. Your
flight will take in the magnificent
Mitchell Falls and Hunter River, then
down the Kimberley coastline to the
aqua waters and thousands of small islands
of the Buccaneer Archipelago. Here we
also witness the amazing Horizontal
Waterfalls (subject to tides) before
returning to Broome, where you will
be met by an Australian Pinnacle Tours
representative to be transferred to
your hotel.
IMPORTANT
LUGGAGE INFORMATION: Due to the flight
leg included in this tour, there is
a STRICT luggage limit of 10 kilos and
soft duffle/packing bag is recommended.
