Day 1. Kununurra.
On arrival in Kununurra, transfer to your hotel.
Two Night Stay: Kununurra, All Seasons Hotel.

Day 2. Lake Argyle, Ord River Cruise.
Tour to Lake Argyle – the largest man-made lake in the southern hemisphere. Visit Durack Homestead, named after the region’s most famous pioneering family, and take a wildlife cruise along the Ord River to Lake Kununurra. Watch for the wildlife that inhabits this area, including a huge variety of birds and fearsome crocodiles.
Bungle bungle National Park

Day 3. Purnululu (Bungle Bungle) National Park, Cathedral Gorge.
Board a flight into stunning World Heritage Purnululu National Park, home to the Bungle Bungle Range. Tour by 4-wheel drive, then walk up the ancient riverbed to spectacular Cathedral Gorge. Make sure you test out the acoustics of this natural amphitheatre.
Two Night Stay: Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge. Enjoy the comfort of our permanent tented cabins. Beds with crisp linen and private en suite facilities. (LD)

Day 4. Bungle Bungle, Northern Gorges.
Travel along the western face of the Bungle Bungle Range to the northern gorges. Take a guided walk through Echidna Chasm, a spectacular break in the rock massif. Walk to Mini Palms Gorge this afternoon (reasonable fitness required) and spend time exploring this region.

Day 5. Scenic flight to Kununurra, El Questro Station.
Horse Riding
This morning, embark on a scenic flight to Kununurra then travel to El Questro Station, a 402,000 hectare cattle station in the heart of the Kimberley. There are a range of optional activities available at El Questro. Go horse riding, take a nature walk or a dip at one of the local gorges (own expense). If activities allow, experience the cattle station in full working action.
Stay: El Questro, Emma Gorge Resort. (B)

Day 6. Return to Kununurra.
Return to Kununurra where the tour finishes on arrival.

Note: Purnululu National Park is an extremely remote region and travel is by 4WD over rough roads. A good level of health, agility and fitness is required. Luggage should be restricted to a small overnight bag (10 kilograms - large suitcase and additional luggage cannot be carried due to limited storage space.) We suggest light casual clothing for day wear and long pants and jumper for evenings. Sturdy comfortable walking shoes, toiletries, torch, swimwear, hat, sunscreen, personal medications and extra film.
