Emma Gorge Resort Hidden within the fiery red of El Questro's Cockburn Ranges, lies the spectacular Emma Gorge Resort. Conveniently located close to some of El Questro's major attractions only 2kms off the Gibb River Road, and an hour from Kununurra. Nestled between palms and pandanus, gravel paths link the Tented Cabins, restaurant, bar, reception and gorge. A large swimming pool and lounge area shaded by native trees and landscaped gardens lies on the banks of Emma Creek. A short walk takes guests from the base of the gorge past butterfly filled trees and vines to a huge turquoise waterhole, perfect for swimming and even a gentle massage under the permanent droplet waterfalls. Chefs serve locally grown tropical fruits for breakfast, barbecues of fresh fish and Kimberley beef are specialities for lunches and dinners, all served in the open air of the Headquarter's spacious verandahs. One of Emma's many unique features are the Tented Cabins. It is rare to stay in such comfort and style while remaining close to nature in complete harmony with the surrounding landscape. The Tented Cabins have raised roofs allowing the tropical sounds and scents to filter through and are fitted with crisp linen, feather pillows, 240v power and fans for the warmer nights. Superior Tented Cabins and all Deluxe Tented Cabins have their own private facilities, whilst the Standard Tented Cabins have use of a shared bathroom block, the choice is yours. With a fully licensed bar, well-stocked shop and laundry facilities, Emma Gorge Resort is an ideal place to stay and explore El Questro and the Kimberley beyond. Prices are per room per night and include Australian Government GST. Facilities: 18 Standard Tented Cabins, each with 2 single beds using shared bathroom block, 7 Superior Tented Cabins with ensuites containing 2 single beds and 20 Deluxe Tented Cabins with ensuites consisting of 1 double and 2 single beds. Modern bathroom block, laundry, quality linen, towels, electricity, fans, power points, contemporary cuisine at licensed restaurant with retractable roof for star-gazing at dinner, open air verandah bar, swimming pool, sundries shop and tour desk.
