This half day cruise takes in all that is included in the Morning Cruise plus much more; constantly changing scenery from the rugged northern end across the unbelievable expanse of open water to the vast wetlands of the southern reaches. Cruise over the submerged site of the now famous Durack Family Homestead - “Argyle Downs”.

Stop at a remote island and fossick for the mysterious Zebra Rock, unique to Lake Argyle. Explore the wetlands of the Ord River mouth, home to a myriad of birdlife at times numbering in the tens of thousands. Binoculars are provided for a closer look at the display of different wildlife.

Complimentary afternoon tea is available, enabling you to sample some of the famous Ord River produce. While cruising back across the lake, sit back and relax and catch the changing colours of the late afternoon scenery reflecting off red cliffs and islands dotted throughout the lake.

Silver CobblersGUARANTEED TO CATCH A FISH!!!

Lake Argyle abounds with a huge variety and number of fish. The largest being the massive “Silver Cobbler” which can weigh up to 40kg. We target these huge beasts as well as the fiesty “Sooty Grunter” and anything else which might come along. Barramundi are increasing in numbers, but are still few and far between.

We guarantee that you will catch a fish of some sort, if not we give you a 50% refund. We supply a selection of rods, reels, handlines, bait and lures (lures to be replaced if lost). You are also welcome to bring your own gear. We are supporters of sustainable fishing practices and have therefore imposed our own limit of 3 fish or 3kg (unless a single fish filleted weighs over 3kg then you can keep whole fish) per person per trip.
