Marysville is only 90 minutes from Melbourne along the Maroondah Highway, via the picturesque Yarra Valley and over the spectacular Black Spur through beautiful Mountain Ash forests.

Affordable self contained holiday cottages (most with full kitchen) vary in size for larger families, groups or just a couple. They are the perfect place to enjoy the activities that Marysville and the Mystic Mountains have to offer. Activities include fishing, bushwalking and scenic drives.

In winter the snow is nearby (20km) with cross country skiing, tobogganing and the "Heights" restaurant at the new Lake Mountain Alpine Visitor Centre.

Mystic Mountains Holiday Cottages are an ensemble of quality Holiday house accommodation with the aim of providing customers a value for money stay and wide choice from small and intimate to accommodating the extended family.

ELLIMATTA is a unique historic home located close in proximity and easy walking distance to heart of the Marysville township. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens first established in 1918. Ellimatta provides quality self contained accommodation for a couple, or small group of friends.

• The Cottage is spacious and comfortable, with 2 bedrooms and a reading room.
• Both bedrooms have a queen bed with an electric blanket and the main bedroom has an ensuite.
• There are 2 bathrooms complete with hairdryer.
• Spacious lounge with a wood heater, split system air conditioning, TV/DVD/Cassette Player and games.
• A fully equipped kitchen comprising a microwave and dishwasher.
• Laundry with washing machine.
• Outdoor deck and setting, gas BBQ, double carport and parking area.

The Cottage is set back from a quiet street, surrounded by garden,and it is a short walk to the shops/cafes.

This delightful holiday house sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. Linen is provided.

THE FERNS is a private, executive retreat set on an acre of beautiful gardens on the top of Red Hill overlooking Marysville - on the edge of State forest.

Comprises 3 bedrooms
Sleeps : 7-9. linen provided.

• Upstairs: Main bedroom (queen size bed, air conditioning, 2nd bedroom one Queen size and one single bed. Bathroom: shower over bath (with spa), toilet.
• Downstairs: 3rd bedroom (2 single beds - can be converted to a queen size bed )
  • Bathroom: shower over bath, toilet.
  • Double sofa bed in lounge.
  • Large gourmet kitchen with walking-in pantry, dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, refrigerator, coffee machine, electric kettle and toaster.
  • Dining area with Coonara Wood heater.
  • Large study overlooking garden.
  • Central heating (hydronic wood fired), ceiling fan and double glazing.
  • Large lounge with huge open fire place, stereo, video, DVD, large screen high definition LCD • TV, ample CDs, DVD's, books and games.
  • Huge deck overlooking garden with outdoor setting and deck chairs, outdoor BBQ.
  • Separate laundry with washing machine and clothes dryer. Pets welcome.

CARNLOUGH is a comfortable and tranquil retreat located just a short walk from the town centre. It is nestled in a beautiful garden which backs directly onto the Steavenson River and has a tree-top deck, equipped with gas BBQ and outdoor setting, overlooking a tree fern gully.

• 2 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 double)
• Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, sandwich maker and blender.
• Wood heater with additional electric heating in the bedrooms
• Comfortable beds with plush blankets and
  electric blankets
• Split-system air-conditioner for instant heat in the winter months and cooling in the summer.

Laundry facilities are not available but there is a drying rack above the heater for wet ski gear etc.

Other features include a flat-screen stereo TV with mini DVD home cinema/CD system, games, toiletries, hairdryer, welcome provisions (tea/filter coffee/hot chocolate and birdseed for our beautiful native birds)

Accommodation Sleeps : 4 linen and towels provided.

KINGS LODGE is a cedar story book cottage.
A two storey, three (3) bedroom residence with north-east views situated on the high side of town.

• Bedrooms comprising two double rooms one with a 2-person spa to the main bedroom,
  plus a twin share room. (1 Queen downstairs and 1 Queen & 2 singles upstairs)
• Lofty Ceilings in the lounge and dining room
• Two bathrooms
• A well designed kitchen with dishwasher
• Gas ducted heating
• Wood fire
• DVD, VCR and CD stereo

A short stroll to the shops and restaurants. If relaxing or sightseeing is your thing, this property has it all. Great deck, outside BBQ area on a covered patio and double carport.
