Extended Camping Safari
During our extended camping safaris you will explore the remote legendary high country. On these trips there is ample time to enjoy the mountain ash forests, tumbling waterfalls, glorious fern gullies, and stands of snow gums as well as remote and historic cattlemen’s huts.
Be surrounded with breath-catching beauty. Explore fields of colourful spring flowers and glorious summer sunsets. Our extensive knowledge of the local Alpine area allows us to present tours from two nights up to seven days for groups who enjoy the challenge of travelling to remote areas.
Our tours travel into the Alpine National Park, visiting cattlemen’s huts nestled in lush remote valleys. Spend time at Wonnangatta Station and continue over to the Howitt High Plains and beyond. Our extended safaris explore such areas as Mt Cobbler, Howqua Valley, the Bluff, Mt Howitt, Wonnangatta Valley and beyond. Feel a real sense of the pioneer spirit as we explore these remote and beautiful areas.
Enjoy the warmth of the campfire while hearty meals are prepared as you sit in comfort and enjoy the star lit sky and peace of the Australian bush. Our camping safaris have no timeframes. Just relax and enjoy the bush. It’s the best way to see the best that the High Country has to offer.
