Hut on the Hill is a totally private luxury B & B located in Heathcote near Bendigo recently rated 4½ stars by AAAT only ½ hour from Melbourne. Hut on the Hill is set on more than 70 hectares of rolling sheep country. Expansive views extend from every vantage. Due south, a breathtaking 180 degree vista of the ancient McHarg Ranges. Overhead the enormous sky arches, deep blue or streaked and painted with clouds. At night the velvety black is bejeweled with the billion stars of the milky way. In Summer, step outside the lounge/dining area to your private, solar heated Swimspa. Relax in its contoured seating against moulded headrests or enjoy an invigorating swim, day or night. The salt chlorinated Endless Swimspa provides a perfect rejuvenating massage while you watch the setting sun. In Winter there's no better place to be than relaxing on one of the soft leather couches listening to your favourite CD, reading a book or watching a DVD in front of an enormous cosy wood fire. The lofty, open plan living/kitchen area features a fully equipped, gourmet kitchen. It has stone benchtops and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, microwave and electric cooker. The dining area adjoining the kitchen seats 6 at a solid timber setting. The barbecue area is ideal for alfresco cooking and entertaining. Nearby Heathcote has excellent country shops including a quality provender and bakery. You have a choice of two bedrooms. One has a sumptuous King Size bed which can be split into two singles and the other has a superb Queen size bed. Each room offers light fluffy doonas, cosy woollen blankets, heating, built in robes and access to outdoors. Loafing beside the fire in winter, gazing at the view or escaping from the summer heat in the airy, air-conditioned cool, there are few places more relaxing than the hut's living room. Listen to some music, watch TV or snooze in the comfy leather sofas with a glass of fine, local wine, here you are truly a million miles from caring. Relax in the spa-bath while you soak in the view. Lose yourself in the silence as you gaze at the cockatoos rising from the gums or simply count the sheep on the hillside. Then step out into a warmed, super soft towel. The Hut's bathroom includes separate shower, hair dryer, heated towel rails and quality Earlsly & Windsor products. Check in is after 2.00pm Cancellation policy applies.
