DAY 1: Sunday or Wednesday
Join The Ghan in Adelaide to Alice Springs.
After boarding at Adelaide’s Keswick Rail Terminal, your first day on The Ghan begins
with a light lunch in the Restaurant Car as you travel North towards Spencer Gulf and
Port Augusta. (LD)

DAY 2: Monday or Thursday - Alice Springs
After arriving in Alice Springs you’ll have time to look around town or enjoy a Whistle
Stop Tour† before reboarding the train and enjoying the desert scenery as you continue
your journey North overnight. (BLD)

DAY 3: Tuesday or Friday - Katherine and Darwin
In the morning you arrive in Katherine with around 4 hours to look around town or enjoy a spectacular Whistle Stop Tour† at Katherine Gorge. Then it’s time to hop back on board for your journey North through the lush, Top End countryside before arriving in Darwin and checking in to the Darwin Central for the next 3 nights. (BL)

DAY 4: Wednesday or Saturday - Darwin
The morning is all yours to relax in this warm and cosmopolitan city before joining
your city sights tour in the afternoon for the perfect overview of Darwin, with expert
commentary by a local guide. See the Chinese Temple, the lush Botanical Gardens, East Point Military Precinct, the Stokes Hill Wharf area and the Mooring Basin. You’ll even have time to explore the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. (B)

DAY 5: Thursday or Sunday - Darwin
Again you’ll have the morning free to shop, relax or just look around, but in the afternoon it’s time for a real treat - the famous Adelaide River Jumping Crocodile Cruise. You’ll see these prehistoric creatures at close range as your guide entices the crocodiles to leap out of the water right next to the boat! Then it’s on to the Window on the Wetlands Visitors Centre for views over the Marrakai Plains and Fogg Dam Nature Reserve, before returning to Darwin for your final night. (B)

DAY 6: Friday or Monday - Darwin
This fantastic little holiday package ends when you check out of your hotel after breakfast. (B)
