Day
1 Sat. King Island, Crayfish Dinner
Join your
afternoon flight to King Island, marking the western edge
of Bass Strait. Today the island is recognised for its fabulous
seafood, cheeses and succulent beef. Welcomed on arrival,
take a short tour of Currie before transferring to your
hotel. Visit Sea Elephant Bay, then on to Grassy. Tonight
savour a delicious dinner of fresh King Island crayfish
(seafood platter outside cray season). Watch the little
penguins as they waddle across the sand to their burrows.

Day
2 Sun. Full Day Tour, Cheese Factory Today travel
to the north of the island. Visit Martha Lavinia Beach,
Penny Lagoon and Cape Wickham Lighthouse, the tallest in
the Southern Hemisphere. Enjoy a delicious lunch of King
Island steak, cheese and wine at Penny Wickham. Stop at
Whistler Point to admire spectacular views before taking
a beach stroll to Yellow Rock. Pass the shipwrecked 'Shannon'.
We visit the cheese factory where you can purchase world-renowned

3 Mon. King Island, Launceston Transfer to Currie
Airport for your flight to Launceston via Melbourne. Welcomed
on arrival and transferred to your tour hotel. Enjoy this
afternoon at leisure. Two Night Stay: Launceston, Grand

4 Tue. Seahorse World, Welcome Dinner Visit Cataract
Gorge then choose fromPlatypus House or Seahorse World.

5 Wed. Wildlife, Freycinet National Park During
lavender flowering season (Dec. to Jan.), visit Bridestowe
Lavender Farm to admire the picturesque purple-hued fields.
Continue to EastCoast Natureworld to see and learn more
about many of Australia's unique native animals, including
the Tasmanian Devil. In beautiful Freycinet National Park,
enjoy a walk along the shores of Cape Tourville. Joined
by a naturalist guide, admire the dramatic coastal scenery,
including Wineglass Bay and the Friendly beaches. Later,
savour the flavours of a Tasmanian speciality - a delicious
crayfish dinner (fresh seafood outside cray season). Accommodation:

6 Thur. Port Arthur Historic Site, DINE AROUND DINNER Back
on board your coach, traverse the Wielangta Forest Drive.
Arriving at Port Arthur Historic Site, join a cruise on
Mason Cove. Spend time exploring the Port Arthur Historic
Site. Take the opportunity to play the 'Lottery of Life'
game or stroll around the colourful gardens. This evening
experience gourmet treats at our Dine Around Dinner in Port
Arthur. Choose to dine at either the Comfort Inn or Felons.
Accommodation: Port Arthur, Comfort Inn, the only hotel

7 Fri. Tasman Peninsular, Richmond, Hobart, FREEDOM OF CHOICE,
DINE AROUND This morning, drink in the beautiful
natural sights of the spectacular Tasman Peninsular, including
Tasmans Arch, Devils Kitchen, Tasman Blowhole and Tessellated
Pavement. On to the historic town of Richmond, then Hobart.
Enjoy our Freedom of Choice Touring - it doesn't cost you
an extra cent. Visit Cadbury's Chocolate Factory, Cascade
Brewery (seasonal closures occur) or Moorilla Estate. Later
tour the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. This evening,

Place and explore the colourful stalls at the Salamanca
Markets. Enjoy time at leisure. This afternoon travel to
the picturesque Huon Valley. Visit the Forest and Heritage
Centre and join a guided walk among the tree tops on the
Tahune AirWalk, enjoying unique scenery. Return to Hobart
and ascend Mt Nelson for fabulous views. (B)

9 Sun. Russell Falls, World Heritage Lake St Clair, West
Coast Wilderness Railway Follow the Derwent Valley
to beautiful Mt Field National Park, where a short walk
brings us to stunning Russell Falls. Experience true tranquillity
as you let the sound of rushing water and crisp, forest
scents permeate your senses. Enter the awe-inspiring forests
of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, making
our way to serene Lake St Clair. Relax and admire views
of the nation's deepest lake before continuing to Queenstown.
Join the magnificently restored West Coast Wilderness Railway
and ride aboard elegant brass and timber carriages as they
travel through the forest. Tonight, enjoy views over the
harbour while savouring a delicious buffet meal with a liqueur

visit the far north west reaches of the Tasmanian mainland

the state's largest wind farm. At nearby Cape Grim, breathe
in the cleanest air in the world. Enjoy morning tea before
touring through Dismal Swamp. Tonight, sample some of the
region's best produce with an exclusive gourmet dinner in

13 Thur. Sheffield Murals, Ashgrove Cheese Factory, Woolmers
Estate We head into Devonport and then continue on
to Sheffield. Free time allows us to explore this quaint
town where over 30 murals have been painted on many of the
buildings' walls. This afternoon, sample more of Tasmania's
tasty gourmet foods with a tour and tasting at Ashgrove
Cheese Factory. Ashgrove uses traditional recipes and techniques
to produce superior handmade cheeses. Later, take a fully
guided tour of historic Woolmers Estate and stroll through
the National Rose Garden. Return to Launceston and enjoy
a free evening to explore the local cuisine. Two Night

14 Fri. Ross, Launceston, EXCLUSIVE! Tamar River Farewell
Dinner Cruise
This morning
we travel around the Great Lake and over the Great Western
