Tasman Temptation Launceston to Launceston |

Day 1 - Launceston, Seahorse World Join a morning flight to
Launceston. Welcomed on arrival for transfer to your tour hotel. This afternoon,
journey along the banks of the West Tamar River to Seahorse World. Here, see the
unique leafy sea dragon and other fascinating marine creatures. This evening, enjoy Welcome Drinks and Dinner. Accommodation:

Day 2 - East Coast Natureworld, Freycinet National Park,
Crayfish Dinner During lavender
flowering season enjoy a tour of Bridestowe Lavender Farm (Dec. - Jan.).
Continue through the prosperous town of Scottsdale, which services the rich
agricultural and forestry region of the north-east. Following the Tasman Highway enter the temperate
rainforests of the Weldborough Pass. Treasured giant myrtles, over 300 years
old, stand as sentinels along our journey. Continuing south to the township of
Bicheno we visit EastCoast Natureworld. See a Tasmanian Devil and other native
flora and fauna. Joining the coastline we enter the dramatically beautiful
Freycinet National Park. Take a guided walk along Cape Tourville and enjoy the
magnificent coastal scenery. Learn of the local flora and fauna, as well as the
area's history from your guide. Travel on to the seaside town of Swansea. This evening, treat your tastebuds to a special
Tasmanian crayfish dinner (fresh seafood outside cray season). Accommodation:

Day 3 - Port Arthur Site, DINE AROUND
DINNER Follow the spectacular
Wielangta Forest Drive to Port Arthur. Join a cruise on Mason Cove, learning of the settlement's tragic and dramatic
history. Alternatively, you may wish to spend more time exploring the Port Arthur
Historical Site. Play the 'Lottery of Life' game or stroll around the colourful
gardens and unique colonial landscape. Experience our Dine Around Dinner this
evening and choose to dine at either the Comfort Inn or
Felons. Accommodation: Comfort Inn, the only hotel in the Historic Site
overlooking the ruins. (BD)
Day 4 - Richmond, Hobart, FREEDOM OF CHOICE TOURING, DINE AROUND
DINNER Journey
along the stunning Tasman Peninsular and see the natural
wonders of Tasman's Arch, Devil's Kitchen, Tasman Blowhole
and the Tesselated Pavement. Enjoy free time exploring historic Richmond, then continue into
Hobart. Here, enjoy our Freedom of Choice Touring, it doesn't add a cent to the price of your holiday.
Visit Cadbury's Chocolate Factory, Cascade Brewery (seasonal closures
occur) or Moorilla Estate's prosperous vineyard.
Later, take a guided tour of the beautiful Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.
This
evening, enjoy the freedom of our Dine Around Dinner - choose to dine at The
Cove, Drunken Admiral or Sisco's on the Pier. Two Night Stay: Hobart, Hotel

Day 5 - Hobart, Salamanca Markets, Huon Valley, Tahune AirWalk
Start the day with a stroll through Salamanca Place and a visit to the
vibrant Salamanca Markets. Enjoy time at leisure in the lovely city of Hobart
before departing for the picturesque Huon Valley. Visit the Forest and
Heritage Centre and walk amongst the tree tops on the Tahune AirWalk, enjoying
unique views of the forest scenery. On our return to Hobart, drive to the summit of Mt Nelson for fabulous views over the city.

Day 6 - Russell Falls, Lake
St.Clair, West Coast Wilderness Railway, Strahan Follow the Derwent Valley to historic New Norfolk. Enter Mt Field
National Park, Tasmania's oldest and one of the state's prettiest national
parks. A
gentle short walk will bring us to the spectacular sight of Russell Falls. Relax
amongst the giant tree ferns and maybe spot a rainbow trout in the clear creek.
Leaving this idyllic park, travel deep into the World Heritage wilderness region
and visit Lake St Clair. Surrounded by spectacular mountains, this glacial lake
has a peaceful beauty. Arriving in Queenstown, join the restored West Coast Wilderness Railway and ride
aboard elegant brass and timber carriages as they travel through pristine forest
scenery. This evening enjoy a delicious buffet meal, complemented by a
liqueur and a selection of chocolates. Relax in the Macquarie Restaurant

Day 7 - Gordon River Cruise, Cradle Mountain, FREEDOM OF
CHOICE Join a cruise across Macquarie Harbour to the striking wilderness
of the Gordon River. Board the Lady Jane Franklin ll, enjoying guaranteed window
seating while you cruise along the ancient river course. Stop for a walk through
untouched rainforest before visiting the infamous penal colony of Sarah Island.
Learn about the fascinating history of this dramatic old settlement from a local
guide. Reboard your luxury coach and travel through picturesque timbered
landscapes to the remote beauty of World Heritage Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair
National Park. Here, enjoy our Freedom of Choice Touring. Choose to sample the
delights of local Tasmanian produce and join our wine and cheese tasting. Or,
take a walk before dinner to learn of the area's unique alpine flora and fauna.
Alternatively, join a spotlighting tour and encounter the wilderness at night

Day 8 - Cradle Mountain, Dove Lake, Stanley and 'The Nut',
Smithton This morning we are joined by a local guide to explore the
pristine wilderness of Cradle Mountain. Visit the historic Waldheim Chalet,
before leaving this spectacular alpine national park
for Leven Canyon. Take the short walk to the lookout and enjoy the
magnificent coastal and mountain views. Continue along the scenic north-west coast to the historical
township of Stanley. Nearby, see the striking ancient outcrop of 'The Nut',
rising 150 metres from the surrounding sea. We then make our way to
Smithton. Two Night Stay: Smithton, Tall Timbers Hotel/Motel, constructed

Day 9 - EXCLUSIVE! Woolnorth Wind Farm, NEW!

Speciality Dinner This
morning we visit the Woolnorth wind farm. Perched high on
the windswept cliffs of a rugged but majestic coastline,
Woolnorth is the state's biggest wind farm. At nearby Cape
Grim, breathe in the cleanest air in the world. Enjoy morning
tea before touring through Dismal Swamp. Tonight enjoy an exclusive dinner of local
Tasmanian fare in Smithton. (BD)
Day 10 - Sheffield, Woolmers
Estate Travel to Sheffield
and explore the town where
over 30 murals have been painted on the buildings. This afternoon
enjoy a visit to Ashgrove Cheese Factory, complete with tastings of their
own speciality cheeses. Visit historic Woolmers Estate and stroll through the
National Rose Garden. Continue on to Launceston and transfer
to the airport for your flight home. (B)
