ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Seal Bay guided beach walk, Kelly Hill Caves, Kangaroos and Koalas in the wild
Depart Adelaide by air or ferry arriving on Kangaroo Island by 9.55 hrs by air or 9.45 hrs by Ferry. Meet your guide for an introduction to Kangaroo Island before heading out in search of wildlife encounters. The first stop for the day is at the Eucalyptus Distillery, where your guide will show you the remarkable oil distilling process before a welcoming morning tea. From here we will coast to Seal Bay for a leisurely stroll on the beach among the rare and endangered Australian sea lion colony with your specially trained guide.
A gourmet picnic lunch is waiting just down the road, in a peaceful bush setting, with time to explore wild trails, surrounded by koalas and birds. Then as we follow the South Coast, take in stunning views above and below ground. The majestic Kelly Hill Caves will take your breath away, as will the kangaroos and wallabies in Kelly Hill Conservation Park only accessed by special permit, before checking in at the Wilderness Retreat. Keep your door closed though, the wallabies and possums are friendly out here!

Day 2 - Flinders Chase National Park, Fur Seals, Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, Stokes Bay
After breakfast your guide will bring you just down the road to Flinders Chase N.P. After exploring the very interesting visitor center at Rocky River H.Q. the rest of the morning is devoted to observing the fur seals frolicking in the wild ocean at the base of Cape Du Couedic and in the amazing geological formation that is Admirals Arch, as well as walking among the phenomenon of Remarkable Rocks, carved from ancient granite into massive natural sculptures.
We lunch among tall gum trees, before cruising to the spectacular north coast of the Island to explore stunning beaches and walk on secretive bush tracks in search of the elusive Glossy Black Cockatoo. Kangaroos, wallabies, koalas – all seem to be around every corner but, can you spot the sneaky echidna. Your tour concludes Kingscote airport in time for your 6.35 p.m. flight or a transfer to Penneshaw for a 7.30 p.m. ferry.
