over 600 million years. There are secrets in the Aboriginal
history. Their affinity with the land, their rich Dreaming
stories have been passed on over 40,000 years.

The art of the Aboriginal people is recorded 41 many
sites, the best-known at Yourambulla Caves, south of
Hawker, and Arkaroo Rock and Sacred Canyon in the
Flinders Ranges National Park.
Early European history
also awaits discovery in the Flinders and Outback. Take
time to inspect the ruins of great stations carved out of
the harsh bush by the pioneers. Reflect on their
ingenuity. How did they survive in this unforgiving terrain.
