Exploring some of the most talked about places in Central Australia this tour stops at popular places as welt as uncovers some hidden gems of the red centre. 

We travel north from Adelaide up the Oodnadatta Track, passing the vast expanse of Lake Eyre to sample the delights of Dalhousie Hot Springs on the edge of the Simpson Desert. We then travel up through the geographical centre of Australia and west to Uluru (Ayers Rock) the world’s largest monolith. 

Exploring the Rock and walking through Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) you may gain an insight into these mysterious rock formations, and marvel at the wildlife that exists in such harsh terrain. 

From Yulara we take the Mereenie Loop Road as our route to the West McDonnell Ranges for some magnificent bushwalking along the Larapinta Trail. Then further north west to the Tanami Track where we stop for a three night camp at Newhaven Station before returning to Alice Springs. 

Newhaven Station, the latest reserve acquired by Birds Australia, is home to some nationally threatened species of wildlife including the Night Parrot, the Princess Parrot, the Black-footed Rock- wallaby and the Marsupial Mole.
