Designed by architects who specialise in high-quality hotel design, the Boatel evolved from many years experience holidaying on houseboats.
Boatel is the first and only vessel in the Mannum region that has Council approval for use as a stationary floating apartment, because Boatel is the only vessel that is pollution free to the Murray River.

More akin to a luxury hotel than a houseboat, the Boatel has been created to ensure you gain maximum relaxation and enjoyment from your time on board.
Unlike anything you’ve ever experienced, the Boatel is two full levels of living area. It weighs in at just 45 tonnes, some 15 to 20 tonnes less than two storey houseboats. This has a dramatically positive effect on the ease of handling and manoeuvrability.
The fishing's great from the deck, as are the shopping and dinner options, and the views are awesome.
Boatel is available to small groups for short stays to be enjoyed stationary in Mannum. You won't need to learn how to drive, or worry about how much fuel is consumed. Just relax and enjoy the shops, pubs, cafes, and galleries starting just a few metres away. Local activities include golf, bowls, and canoeing.
With a minimum 2 night stay for a couple, you can relax without any fuel expense - and still enjoy a private sunset on the Boatel deck.
Living/Dining Areas
The Boatel has been designed to optimise daytime living, with upstairs being a lounge area for twelve and an incredibly functional kitchen, which in a masterstroke of design, can easily have ten working around it.
The Kitchen, often the heart of the days beginning and end, is in itself a work of art. All appliances are of the highest quality and chosen for their ease of operation.
The cooking capability and enjoyment is enhanced by a chefs BBQ on the aft deck, which is directly accessed from the kitchen and dining areas.
The theme of luxury extends to dining. Situated in the Sky Lounge, quality and comfortable dining settings for up to 12 people is situated just in front of a panoramic window setting.
And after dinner, recline in the comfort of our intimate lounge setting.
Entertainment
Come nightfall, the Boatel assumes it’s alter ego. With a touch of a button on the Command Centre, the lighting fades away whilst the blinds quietly descend.
At another touch a large screen rolls down and the surround sound speakers come to life to transform the Skylounge into an enviable personal cinema.
Before retiring to the nestled comfort of the exclusive River Dream beds, the Skylounge affords a truly stunning view of the heavens… a fitting way to end a heavenly day.
To fully capitalise on the abundant natural beauty of the river, the Boatel makes maximum use of outdoor viewing, dining, and just relaxing areas. From the kitchen, there is a carpeted aft deck with lounges and gourmet BBQ, which leads down to the swimming and fishing deck, and the fish do bite!

Retire to your Luxury Suite
The Boatel has five bedrooms each with an exclusive sumptuous king size bed, glass door to the deck, separate walk-in robe and each with a super luxury bathroom comprising full size shower, architectural basin, full length mirrors and electric toilet.
Ample king size towels (along with somewhere to hang them) are provided.
The beds are specially made, large and pure luxury. These beds are the equivalent to those found in the finest hotels. One night’s sleep will tell the tale.

The latest in luxury, high technology, and totally private corporate venues, the Boatel offers a list of features that is long and impressive, including the stunning Sky Lounge which features a large open meeting area; a world-class kitchen, secluded outdoor areas for meetings and/or socializing, plus an array of the latest in labour-saving and entertainment technology.
The meeting areas can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people plus more if required and accommodation can be arranged on additional houseboats to cater for additional attendees.
