DEP0SIT: A $750 deposit is required within 14 days to secure your booking.
BALANCE OF FEES:
These are to reach us no later than 60 days prior to departure.
REEF TAX:
A Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Fee plus associated charges is applicable to all charterers and is payable in full prior to departure. Cost $20 per person: including EMC $4.50 per person x 3 nights. ($13.50) plus administration charge $6.50
research and protection of the reef and may be paid by clients at the jetty.
DAMAGE LEVY FEE:
Non refundable Damage Levy Fee provides the charterer with a No Blame Policy that protects the charterer against any cost incurred to rectify damage to the vessel and its fittings or loss of inventory from the vessel, providing at all times the charter vessel is operated in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the charter agreement. The fee is calculated at a rate according to vessel size by the number of nights (to a maximum of 7 nights) the vessel is on charter.
Cost 28ft to 34ft - $35 per boat per night
35ft to 38ft - $40 per boat per night
39ft to 50ft - $45 per boat per night
The client must provide credit card details with his/her authorisation to debit any outstanding fees and charges. i.e. fuel, marina fees or any additional costs incurred due to the charterer not complying with the conditions specified in the charter agreement. Whitsunday Rent A Yacht reserves the right (without showing cause ) to apply a $2000 bond to any charter.
FUEL
Fuel is charged on a user pay system and must be paid by the client direct to the supplier at the end of charter.
TRAVEL AND CANCELLATION INSURANCE:
We strongly recommend that you take out adequate insurance to cover yourselves in case you are forced to
cancel due to unforeseen circumstances or possible interruptions or curtailments to your charter which are
beyond your control. A visitor’s insurance plan is available for overseas clients.
COMMENCEMENT OF CHARTERS:
All Charters start at midday on the
first day and finish at midday on the last day at our private jetty at Shute Harbour. An early briefing at 8 o’clock may be requested but cannot be confirmed until the afternoon of the day before your charter.
HAMILTON ISLAND DELIVERY:
12noon - lf necessary your boat can be
delivered to Hamilton Island Marina for your briefing or may be returned to Hamilton Island at the completion of your charter BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT. Security Bond, Reef Tax and Provisioning must be prepaid.
RADIO SCHEDULES:
Regulations require us to be in contact with each vessel twice
daily, at 8:00am and 4:00pm. During the schedule we will keep you informed of weather forecasts, special events and provide information or advice about your proposed anchorage.
MID CHARTER TURNAROUND:
For extended charters (8 nights or more)
you will need to return to port approximately half way through your charter for a mid-charter turnaround.
During your turnaround you will be supplied with fresh linen, refuelled, water tanks refilled and if you have
ordered provisioning your vessel will be reprovisioned.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
A range of provisioning options and packages are available including Self select, Gourmet and Cruising Cuisine, Childrens packs, Beverages and Liquor.
Can be paid for on arrival, except in the case of a Hamilton Island boat pick-up when all extras charges must be pre-paid.
