Discover the Whitsundays, one of the world's greatest holiday destinations and Airlie Beach, the cosmopolitan "capital" of the
region. In spite of its global reputation, Airlie Beach is a compact and friendly tourism centre couched between spectacular
rainforest-clad national parks and the Coral Sea with its 74 Whitsunday Islands.
The last few years have seen rapid development on the Whitsunday mainland. Not least of this was the decision in 2001 to initiate
the Portside Whitsunday Resort project at the southern end of Airlie Beach itself. This position offered a unique opportunity to
capitalise on both the proximity of all Airlie Beach's attractions and the unique appeal of the resort's waterfront viewsite.
Portside Whitsunday Resort was designed to maximise the holiday experience. It is the perfect base from which to enjoy the
ever-increasing range of activities on offer. These include everything from aerial excursions to The Great Barrier Reef, scuba diving,
day sailing and cruising, fishing, snorkeling and parasailing through to bareboating in its many forms.
