Ileola is a 60 foot three masted schooner with plenty of history and character. Designed by Sir Francis Herreshoff in 1936 and professionally built in Geelong in 1952 of Kauri, Ileola is waiting for you to share her AMAZING ATMOSPHERE.

Whether you just want to experience the joys of sightseeing in the Whitsundays, sunbaking on the spacious deck or relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine over dinner, or whether your choice is assisting the crew of Ileola, we guarantee that you'll be enjoying a unique experience on board this Classic Wooden Vessel.

Ileola has covered over 600,000 sea miles and sailed approximately 15 times around the world. By 1990, her outstanding record of ocean races stood as follows: Sydney to Hobart - 10, Melbourne to Hobart - 16, Melbourne to Devonport - 17, Sydney to Fiji - 3, Sydney to Noumea - 9, Sydney to Vanuatu - 2, Shorter ocean races around the Victorian coast - 23.

Ileola's design was very innovative; it was based on three point holding, that guaranteed the flexibility required for seaworthiness, and carried the first balanced rudder ever launched.
The boat has been designed to cruise the oceans, and to be driven by 1 person on watch, all sails are easy to handle and that allows you to participate in the sailing experience.

Her design offers a great living area, with the option of single or double beds in private and semi-private cabins. A huge saloon and large comfortable deck space.


Added to all that history is the stunning menu and magnificent presentation of the food. After an appetizer to enjoy with your drinks in the cockpit, your evening food, freshly prepared in the galley is served in the magnificent saloon. Ileola is ready to give you the memories of a lifetime.

based on a selection of the best Italian cuisine, great coffee, professional crew, snorkelling equipment, hot shower, linen and blanket.

Price: $465 pp


There is an additional fee including an Environmental Management Charge payable on board. and National Park, suit hire, equipment use and administration of $45 per trip, subject to change as per Government regulations. This is to be paid at check-in.

All prices are in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST and exclusive of other Government Taxies and levies.

Rates include GST. Prices are valid to 30/06/06. Cancellations made less than 21 days before departure will result in complete forfeiture of full price.
