World’s Best Practice At the Tenth Anniversary of the Wet Tropics
Management Authority, Anna Graham was awarded the inaugural Cassowary Award for World’s Best Practice in Eco Tourism. The Daintree Wilderness Lodge was built by
Anna and her late husband Mal Graham. They took great thought and care in designing and
building the Daintree Wilderness Lodge, selecting bungalow sites in natural clearings
and building boardwalks that meander through the virgin rainforest to minimise their
impact on this beautiful and pristine area.

The Daintree Wilderness Lodge
is only 90 minutes drive from Cairns in conventional vehicles or by our private guided deluxe transfer
from Cairns, Northern beaches, and Port Douglas. Across the Daintree river to where the World Heritage rainforest meets
the reef.
Luxury style bungalows set in
complete privacy with your own boardwalk. Tropical breakfast is served to your veranda. Other luxuries include a viewing roof to gaze at the canopy from your
