The 2 hour journey from Cairns to Bloomfield is in itself a thrilling experience. It begins with the courtesy car which takes guests
to the VIP lounge at the Hinterland Aviation terminal, looking out over the International Airport.
A 30 minute scenic flight follows the dazzling Queensland coastline over the fringing reefs and tiny islands of the Coral Sea.
Landing on an outback airstrip, guests are met by Bloomfield's friendly staff and escorted on the short trip by unsealed road to the
banks of the Bloomfield River. From here, the launch cruises down river to the sea and across Weary Bay to Bloomfield Lodge,
nestling almost unseen in the rainforest.
The final touch in this unique little adventure comes as the boat lets down wheels and is pulled ashore for the driest of landings
and a cooling drink, whilst the magic of Bloomfield takes over.
Bloomfield offers a number of wonderful excursions which are very popular with guests. Included in the package price are -
Guided Rainforest Walk - Lasting around 2½ hours, the walk is led by an experienced guide.
Bloomfield River Cruise - A relaxing trip of around 2 hours along the delightful Bloomfield River as far as the local Aboriginal
community at Wujal Wujal.
