HALF DAY OUTER EDGE REEF EXPERIENCE

Raging Thunder's REEF RAFTING vessel was specifically designed for the ocean conditions between Fitzroy Island and the Outer Edge of the Great Barrier Reef.

This is a reef experience like no other, board Thunderbolt 1 and you will find half the fun is getting there!

The vessel is the first of its kind on the Great Barrier Reef and travels at up to 80km per hour making the outer reef accessible in just one hour!

Departing from Cairns at 12.30pm Thunderbolt 1 will take you to the Outer Reef via Fitzroy Island for your half day outer reef experience.

Enjoy two hours of snorkelling at two reef sites with all snorkelling gear and instruction included.

Afterwards, return to Fitzroy Island where you transfer to our fast catamaran for your return journey to Cairns.

Thunderbolt 1 is the only half day Outer Barrier Reef experience operating from Cairns and offers you Adventure, Island and a Reef Experience in one great trip!

Outer Barrier Reef experience includes :

• Return transfers to Fitzroy Island
• Fly to the reef at 80 km/hr aboard Thunderbolt 1 on a 3 hour round trip with a maximum of 42 passengers
• All snorkelling gear and instruction included
• Visit 2 different reef sites
• Departs Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal 8.30am, 10.30am (Ferry), 12.30pm (Thunderbolt)
• Returns approximately 5.45pm

For those wanting to spend the morning exploring beautiful Fitzroy Island you can choose to depart on the 8.30am or 10.30am fast catamaran transfer and meet Thunderbolt 1 for your outer reef experience at no additional charge.

Notes:
For safety reasons to ride the Thunderbolt children must be taller than 120cm, and adults must not have pre-existing spinal injuries, neck injuries or be pregnant
