Day one and you are straight into the action - White Water rafting on the mighty Tully River. After collection from your accommodation (you may wish to purchase an additional night prior) travel south where you will spend five hours negotiating the grade 3-4 rapids through the middle of World Heritage Listed rainforest. Enjoy a BBQ lunch riverside before tackling the lower half of the river and returning to Cairns that evening.
The following morning and you are off to enjoy the picturesque setting of the Cairns Highlands waterfall circuit. Spend the day visiting the lakes, waterfalls and rainforest settings and enjoy a delicious lunch in the quaint village of Yungaburra.
No visit to Cairns would be complete without a trip to the Outer Barrier Reef. Spend half a day on Fitzroy Island - a 339 hectare National Park right on the reef, snorkelling, hiking the amazing trails or soaking up the sun. After a BBQ lunch board Thunderbolt 1 - the fastest vessel to the Outer Reef speeds to two outer reef sites where you can snorkel and marvel at the abundance of coral and fish life. Return to Cairns after this amazing day of Island, reef and adventure.
Your last day finds you heading north to Cape Tribulation, expect to see crocodiles on a Daintree River Cruise and take in the oldest rainforest in the world packed with stunning scenery and natural assets. Meet some of the creatures of the rainforest at the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary and return to Cairns early evening for your last night.
