A great way to experience Moreton Island. Day 1 starts with an early morning transfer to the Port of Brisbane where you board the luxurious FastCat ferry for your cruise to Moreton Island. There you will commence your fully guided 4WD tour with Goanna Adventures exploring the Island in a small group visiting all the best locations. You get to try sand boarding with the original sand boarding company.
Late afternoon you will book into your air-conditioned room at the Tangalooma Resort. As a Resort guest enjoy all the luxury and wide range of activities it has to offer including snorkeling the Tangalooma Wrecks, sailing, whale watching (in season), quad bikes, helicopter flights, parasailing and much more. (Extra charges may apply).
And of course in the evening you have a pass for feeding the wild dolphins.
Tour includes:
- Transfers to and from Brisbane City to ferry terminals.
- Cruise the Brisbane River and Moreton Bay on your way to the Island by luxury FastCat. Enjoy the licensed lounge/bar area or spot dolphin, turtle, and dugong from the viewing deck as you pass through the Marine Park. Your guide will be there to provide expert commentary.
- Activity 1: 4WD eco-tour - traverses the Island through the eucalypt forest before emerging onto Eastern Beach. Then you will travel north using the beach as your highway to Honeymoon Bay, Champagne Pool, North Point, and the Cape Moreton lighthouse. Time to swim and soak up the sun as you gaze across Moreton Bay to the Glass House Mountains in the distance.
- Activity 2: View wild dolphins, sharks, turtles and whales (in season) from Cape Moreton – one of Australia’s best viewing spots.
- Activity 3: Race down the slopes of some of the World’s steepest sand hills as you try sand tobogganing and sand boarding. Or just relax, enjoy the spectacular views of the Desert and watch the action.
- Activity 4: Visit Blue Lagoon nestled behind the sand dunes of Eastern Beach. Snorkeling equipment available. One night's accommodation at the Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort – air-conditioned, ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities.
- Activity 5: One pass per person to the wild dolphin hand-feeding included.
- Free use of all land-based facilities at the Resort. There are over 30 to choose from!
- Plenty of options available for your free day at the Resort including snorkeling at the Wrecks, parasailing, quad bikes, etc. (own cost).
4pm departure from the Island.
Lunch is provided on Day 1. Other meals at your own cost.
This tour is not available 23/12 to 8/1 or during the Easter period.
Included in price: All transport, transfer costs, ferry charges, lunch on Day 1, all equipment for snorkeling, sand boarding etc., accommodation in hotel style room. Pass to wild dolphin feeding
National Park Fees are NOT included in the price.
Able to be purchased/hired: A wide range of activities are available for purchase at the Resort. The Resort has a number of cafes/restaurants where meals can be purchased.
What to bring: Bring any special needs, swimming costume, towel, toiletries, insect repellent, sunscreen, sun hat, sandals/walking shoes. Please keep luggage to a small bag.

Brisbane - 7.15 am - Transit Centre, Roma St. Departs from Level 3, Gate 15. Wait near luggage lockers at top of escalators outside Gate 15. Pickups available from some CBD points / hotels - check availability. 7.30am pickup from Fortitude Valley - outside the Bunk Hostel, Gipp Street.
Gold Coast - 6.15am Departs from the Transit Centre, Beach Road, Surfers Paradise. Wait on Beach Road near the red Post Box. Other pickup points available - check at the time of booking.
