Day 1 Wed. Cairns, Welcome Dinner.
Welcomed on arrival for transfer to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free to settle in and relax. You might like to stroll down to the Esplanade and take in the coastal views, do some shopping or find a comfortable café and watch the world go by. This evening we invite you to a special Welcome Dinner in the Tradewinds Hotel to meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers over great food and a few drinks.

Day 2 Thur. Freedom of Choice Touring.
You can choose from five exciting Freedom of Choice options today. Travel to Rainforestation to see Australian wildlife and an Aboriginal traditional performance. Ride on the Kuranda Scenic Railway as it winds its way through tunnels, over bridges, past waterfalls and ancient rainforest. Alternatively, you can enjoy the World Heritage rainforest of Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef, on an exciting adventure. Or why not try whitewater rafting on the Barron River, where the level of rafting is safe and the scenery and rapids are breathtaking. Or cruise Trinity Inlet or indulge in a 1/2 hour Spa treatment.

Day 3 Fri. Great Barrier Reef. Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine Around Dinner.
Behold the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef with the choice of three exciting Quicksilver cruises on ‘Wavepiercer’, you can cruise to the Outer Reef; on ‘Wavedancer’ you can sail the Coral Sea islands or board ‘Silversonic’ for a reef cruise and snorkel. All cruises include a delicious lunch and onboard bar facilities. Or, indulge in an early morning balloon flight including breakfast. This evening, enjoy pre dinner drinks followed by dinner at the Outback Restaurant.

Day 4 Sat. Millaa Millaa Falls, Dunk Island, Dine Around Dinner.
Ride the Skyrail Cableway to get a birds eye view over the World Heritage listed rainforest to Kuranda. After taking some time at the Kuranda markets, we visit the lush, 900 metre high Atherton Tablelands with its high rainfall and volcanic soils. Visit the unique Curtain Fig Tree and spectacular Millaa Millaa Falls have your camera at the ready! This afternoon we take a fantastic cruise to Dunk Island. Tonight, you can choose from four restaurants with our Dine Around Dinner.

Day 5 Sun. At Leisure on Dunk Island.
Today is your own to relax and discover all that Dunk has to offer. Known as the ‘Island of Peace and Plenty’, Dunk is Australia’s most beautiful tropical rainforest island. You could start the day with a guided rainforest walk followed by water skiing, or indulge yourself at the Spa of Peace and Plenty (activities at own expense).

Day 6 Mon. Whitsunday Passage, Hamilton Island.
We go island hopping today. After we farewell Dunk Island, travel to picturesque Shute Harbour and take a memorable cruise through the Whitsunday Passage to Hamilton Island.
Two Night Stay: Hamilton Island Resort, guaranteed Coral View rooms at the Reef View Hotel with fabulous views of the Whitsunday Passage.

Day 7 Tue. Hamilton Island, Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine Around Dinner.
Explore the island at leisure today and choose from a variety of our exciting activities. Freedom of Choice Hamilton Island 6 choices: Join a cruise to Whitehaven cruise or take a two hour golf buggy tour of the island or feed the fish at Catseye Beach or enjoy a bus tour and visit the Fauna Park or play Aquatic Golf or take the Banjo Paterson Twilight Cruise This evening, join your fellow passengers for pre dinner drinks before our delicious Dine Around Dinner.

Day 8 Wed. Mackay, Rockhampton, Henderson Park Tour.
8 Day (CS08) passengers depart this morning.
We rejoin the coach and travel south through the sugar town of Mackay to vibrant Rockhampton. At Henderson Park, we learn how a cattle station operates. Stroll through the renowned tropical vegetation of the delightful Botanic Gardens. Henderson Park Farmstay Upgrade Stay overnight at a working cattle station, enjoying a night by the campfire and a barbeque dinner. Additional cost per person, please enquire (minimum 2 passengers).

Day 9 Thur. Fraser Island.
We continue to Hervey Bay for our cruise to World Heritage listed Fraser Island, the world’s largest sand island.

Day 10 Fri. Freedom of Choice Touring.
Rise early this morning to join an escorted birdwatching walk through native bushland (optional). Later, choose to join the local ranger for a 4 wheel drive adventure, discovering the lakes and rainforest of the island, visiting the pristine Lake McKenzie and Wanggoolba Creek, or join a humpback whale watching or dolphin cruise (subject to season). Or upgrade to a full day 4WD Beach and Rainforest tour (additional expense). Tonight, enjoy our Bushtucker Talk and delicious BBQ.

Day 11 Sat. Australia Zoo, Brisbane.
Today we visit Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo. Onb arrival in Brisbane, 11 Day (CS11) passengers depart the tour. Stay: Brisbane, Royal on the Park.

Day 12 Sun. Gold Coast, Byron Bay.
Travel along the world famous Gold Coast and visit the bohemian haven of Byron Bay with its stunning beaches and see nearby Cape Byron, the Australian mainland’s eastern most point. Continue to the pretty coastal town of Coffs Harbour with its picture perfect beaches. Join your fellow travellers tonight for a Farewell Dinner.
