Litchfield National Park 
Full Day. Depart: 7.00 a.m. 

Travel south from Darwin and ascend the rocky Tabletop Range where dry woodlands and forests dominate the huge sandstone plateau. Stop to view giant magnetic termite mounds, some standing well over two metres tall. See the picturesque double waterfall forming Florence Falls, surrounded by rainforest, then continue to Tolmer Falls, noted as one of the most spectacular in the park, cascading over two high escarpments and plunging into a deep waterhole below. Continue to the rock pool at Wangi Falls where there’s time for a refreshing swim in the crystal waters or perhaps take a nature walk to the top of the falls. Reboard the coach and return to Darwin, arriving at 6.00 p.m.

Kakadu, Ubirr Art Site & Guluyambi Cruise 
Full Day. Depart: 6.35 a.m. Return 8.00pm.

Travel across the Marrakai Plains and enter Kakadu National Park, home to a profusion of birdlife and other native fauna. Visit Bowali Visitor Centre and Park Headquarters to see displays on the flora and fauna found in the park. View the ancient Aboriginal rock paintings at Ubirr, which has been added in its own right to World Heritage status because of its anthropological and archeological value. Following lunch join the Guluyaesbi cruise along the East Alligator River with Aboriginal guides. Learn about the ancient culture and legends of the region, and by special permission, take a short walk into Arnhem Land. Return to Darwin stopping at Window on the Wetlands for a glass of wine at sunset.

Kakadu, Nourlangie and Yellow Water
Full Day. Depart: 6.35 a.m. 
Return 8.00pm
Depart Darwin and enter Kakadu National Park. Covering some 20 000 square kilometres, Kakadu is Australia’s largest and arguably most famous national park. Kakadu’s vast wetlands and ancient escarpment are not only home to one of Australia’s largest and most diverse bird populations, but carry outstanding natural and cultural significance. Visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre before joining a guided cruise along Kakadus most famous wetland area, Yellow Water billabong, keeping an eye out for the region’s abundant wildlife, including crocodiles. After lunch, take a guided tour to Nourlangie Rock to see well preserved galleries of Aboriginal rock art. On the return trip to Darwin, view giant  termite mounds and stop at Window on the Wetlands for a glass of wine as you watch the sun set over the flood plains.

Katherine Gorge Cruise Full Day. 
Full Day. Depart: 6.35 a.m. Return: 8.30 p.m.

Depart Darwin and stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, the resting place for many World War II soldiers. Continue to the Adelaide River Inn for a comfort and breakfast stop (own expense) before continuing on to Edith Falls via Pine Creek where there’s time for a refreshing swim (conditions permitting).

After lunch, enter Nitmiluk National Park, home to 13 stunning gorges. Stop by the Visitor Centre before joining your guided cruise between the sheer sandstone cliffs of Katherine Gorge. As you glide along the tranquil waters, enjoy commentary from your guide detailing the area’s plant and wildlife and explaining the Aboriginal rock art, which adorns the walls of the gorge. Keep an eye out for crocodiles, turtles and and the splendid array of birdlife.

Begin the return journey to Darwin, making an early evening stop for dinner. Take this opportunity to sample one of the specialties’ of the Top End, Barramundi and chips (own expense). Courtesy hotel pick up service must be pre-booked.
