Adventure Tours
are nature-based and designed for those that want to experience the spectacular
scenery, flora, fauna, history and culture of each area. While there are
few age restrictions on our tours, they are budget in nature and suitable
for active, fun-loving people with a reasonable level of fitness who enjoy
bush walking, swimming and the great outdoors! Please look at our grading
system carefully when choosing your tour, to ensure that the level of
activity and facilities are suitable for you.
All Adventure Tours’ guides undergo a comprehensive in-house
training program that has been developed extensively over
the last 5 years in conjunction with the National Parks
boards and Centralian College.
This includes:
• Information on company
procedures and requirements.
• St Johns Ambulance First Aid
Course including CPR and
other
life-saving measures.
• National Parks and Wildlife
accredited certificate teaching
the guide
about Aboriginal
culture and the geography of
the different regions.
• Basic mechanical operations and safety checks.
• Driver training program teaching safe driving skills
both on and off the
roads.
• Information and seminars on bush craft skills, geology,
botany,
history and Aboriginal culture.
• Cooking skills - guides are coached to produce a variety
of tasty and
nutritious meat and vegetarian dishes for
groups and instructed on
food preparation and hygiene.
• Customer care skills are developed to help guides
communicate with
groups and deal with language barriers.
