Safari in Style is designed for those wanting a comfortable but adventurous small group tour. Whilst not a luxury tour (passengers must walk to shared shower & toilet facilities) Safari in Style is considerably more comfortable than the budget program in terms of service and facilities offered. Safari accommodation features twin share beds in spacious permanent tents with interior lights and fans. All linen, pillows and towels are provided. The menu features quality produce and Australian wines.
Day 1: Alice Springs to
Uluru
Our adventure begins travelling through the James and Waterhouse
Ranges to the Outback Camel Farm where many passengers will
have their first opportunity to ride a camel (at own expense). We
journey onto Uluru (Ayers Rock) viewing the ancient Hugh and
Finke River systems, Mt Connor and the unique scenery along the
way. After lunch at Yulara, we set out to explore the wonder of
Kata Tjuta (Olgas) and hike the Valley of the Winds. We return to
watch the desert sun set over Uluru.
After a hearty dinner at our permanent campsite, enjoy the
brilliance of the outback sky then settle down for the night in your safari
accommodation. (LD)
 Day 2:
Uluru to Kings Canyon
An early start is required for one of the highlights of the tour -
the Uluru sunrise. You can choose to climb the rock or enjoy a
walk around the base, exploring the mysterious rock formations
and Aboriginal art sites while watching the changing light on the
desert. A visit to the Cultural Centre offers the chance to view
and purchase Aboriginal arts and crafts. After lunch, we head to
Kings Canyon where we enjoy dinner before relaxing in your overnight safari
accommodation. (BLD)
Day 3:
Kings Canyon to Alice
Springs
Climb and explore Kings Canyon, viewing the impressive formations
of the ‘Amphitheatre’, ‘The Lost City’, the picturesque ‘Garden of
Eden’ and the breathtaking North and South Walls. We then
take time to relax and refresh in the cooling waterhole (summer
only). After lunch we depart for Alice Springs viewing the scenery along the
way. (BL)
