ITINERARY:
DAY 1: Travel south through the Western McDonnell and James Ranges to Ayers Rock Resort and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Along the way stop at a camel farm for an optional camel ride and also view the majestic Mt. Conner. This afternoon visit Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), a unique rock formation of many large domes that is sacred to the local aboriginal people. Explore Walpa Gorge and then watch the sunset at Uluru while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort -choice of hotel or tented standards.
DAY 2: Early departure to view the splendour of the desert sunrise within Uluru & Kata-Tjuta national park. A light breakfast will be served by your guide while you are taking in the spectacular surroundings. You may like to climb to the top of the monolith or enjoy a guided walk and learn of the aboriginal mythology surrounding this mystical place. Continue on a guided base tour around Uluru before visiting the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Depart this afternoon for travel to Kings Canyon. Accommodation: Kings Canyon Resort - choice of hotel or tented standards. (Continental breakfast)
DAY 3: After a light breakfast, join a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness only, sturdy shoes required). An easier walk along the boulder-strewn Canyon floor is also available. Enjoy lunch at Kings Canyon Resort (own expense) before traveling to Alice Springs. (Continental breakfast)

SPECIAL NOTE: This tour is suitable for most ages, however a reasonable level of fitness is required as there is some walking and climbing required in Central Australia. All travellers should be encouraged to have adequate travel insurance.
