Masses go outback ... Wayoutback is now in its 8th year of operation, during which time we have forged an enviable reputation from both within the industry and from the stream of happy customers who recommend us to other travellers. We are a genuine small group operator carrying a maximum of only 7, 9 or 14 passengers in late model air conditioned Toyota Landcruiser and Mitsubishi Canter 4WDs. We don't do buses so you won't feel like you're being herded around, plus there's a fine chance we'll actually get to know each other. This also makes the logistics of travelling in a group that much more efficient, meaning more time to relax and not be rushed around. With tourism rapidly on the rise, most of the main routes around Central Australia are bitumen, rather spoiling the romantic notion of outback dirt roads, solitude and wide-open spaces. The name 'Wayoutback' typifies our belief that the only authentic way to experience the desert is by getting away from the crowds and immersing yourself in the beauty and vastness of the outback - driving dirt tracks, bush camping, cooking over a camp-fire and sleeping out under the stars. Of all the 2 and 3 day tours on offer, ours is the only Safari to utilise unsealed outback roads as well as following 4-wheel drive bush tracks over sand dunes and through riverbeds. On our 5 day 4WD Safari we are the only company getting right off the beaten track, cutting through two huge cattle stations on our way from Uluru (Ayers Rock) to Watarrka (Kings Canyon). We 4-wheel drive from Curtin Springs Station through breathtaking scenery that very few people have laid eyes on, emerging at Kings Creek Station about 30km from Watarrka. Last season Wayoutback launched a 2 day 4WD Safari which is the only one of its kind. It takes in the ancient beauty of the West MacDonnell Ranges and Palm Valley. The bush camp is situated on the Finke River, a perfect spot for a night under the stars. Wayoutback's "not so wayout" mission is to make your trip one of the most memorable you'll ever have.

Conditions Wayoutback Desert Safaris reserves the right to amend safari times, itineraries and fares for its safaris as circumstances, time of year and operational reasons occur. There will be no refunds in these circumstances or for reasons such as delays incurred due to mechanical failure or weather conditions. Wayoutback Desert Safaris cannot guarantee exact pick-up and drop-off times and will accept no responsibility in the event of cancellation fees from other connecting services. Wayoutback Desert Safaris reserves the right to cancel a safari or arrange an alternative operator if group numbers are insufficient. Balances paid by credit card are subject to merchant Levy. Wayoutback Desert Safaris accepts no responsibility for any injury, illness or other such accident sustained whilst on safari with Wayoutback or while engaged in any activities with other tourist operators that may not be part of the Wayoutback itinerary but available during a Wayoutback safari. Wayoutback Desert Safaris takes no liability for lost, stolen or damaged property and strongly recommends clients have Travel Insurance, including Cancellation Cover. Cancellation fees apply. |
