We recommend comfortable clothing, swimming gear, sturdy walking shoes, hat, sunblock, camera with plenty of film and warm clothing in winter months is essential.
There is no hard work on our camping tours but the success of the tour does rely on the participation of all the passengers to help with cooking, washing dishes, setting up camp and collecting firewood etc.
Passengers considering a camping tour should be in good health and young at heart.
Due to limited space we ask that luggage is kept to a minimum. Hotels in Alice Springs will store the remainder for passengers.
Passengers should consider the extreme temperatures in Central Australia when deciding what to bring, average temperatures are as follows (in °C):
Mar-May - Min: 12.8, Max: 27.8
Jun-Aug - Min: 5.1, Max 20.5
Sept-Nov - Min: 14.2, Max: 30.3
Dec-Feb - Min: 20.6, Max: 37.0

HOLIDAY CONDITIONS
Sahara Outback Tours and/or its agents operate in outback areas and reserve the right to alter the route, itinerary or to cancel the operation if road, weather or other conditions dictate. If for any reason, the route is altered and a different itinerary offered, no refund will be paid. Any personal expenses incurred by a passenger as a result of any delay, curtailment or alteration of any tour, whether caused by flooding, mechanical defect or any cause are the responsibility of the passenger.
Sahara Outback Tours and/or its agents and employees are unable to guarantee exact arrival and departure times and are not liable for any failure to make connections with any other services, or guarantee the operation of any particular service.
In the event of a breakdown or other unforeseen circumstances, the operators reserve the right to substitute vehicles other than specified to ensure the operation of a tour. The operators reserve the right to amend prices at any time.
VALIDITY OF PRICES
Fares are in Australian currency, include GST, are payable before departure and may be changed without notice. Valid to 31/3/05.
CANCELLATION
The following charges will apply in the event of a passenger cancelling his/her booking:
Notice given - Cancellation fee:
30 days or more 10% of fare
4-29 days 25% of fare
1-3 days 75% of fare
Less than 24 hours 100% of fare
MINIMUM NUMBERS
The operators reserve the right to cancel any tour or arrange an alternative carrier if the minimum number in a group is not sufficient.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is not included. We strongly recommend that travel insurance, including cancellation cover, be arranged by all passengers. We accept no responsibility for accidents, illness, or the loss or damage to personal articles, including baggage.
MEDICAL
Tours are to remote areas and include some hiking through steep, rugged terrain. Passengers should be of reasonable health and fitness and be carrying all required medication.
TOURS MUST BE RECONFIRMED BY THE PASSENGER BEFORE 4PM ON THE DAY PRIOR TO DEPARTURE
