 Experience the legend of Australia's Outback in an Outback Balloon

                        

EARLY MORNING BALLOONING

Your ballooning adventure begins in the cool pre dawn darkness as you are picked up from your accommodation in Alice Springs. During the 15-minute drive to our desert launch site you will get to know the crew as they make final weather checks and explain the routine for the morning. At the launch site gas burners are used to inflate the balloons just as the sun lights up the rugged MacDonnell Ranges.

Once floating gently in the air you will appreciate the vast remoteness of the Australian Outback. Wildlife, particularly big red kangaroos are seen nearly every day as the balloon crosses spinifex grasses, mulga scrub and cattle stations.

After landing you may become involved in assisting the crew or taking photographs as we pack the nylon balloon back into its bag. Indulge in a fresh cooked breakfast outdoors at the grassed & shaded area alongside the Todd River at the Voyages Alice Springs Resort. This is accompanied by champagne and tropical fruit juice cocktails.

Between courses of honey glazed sesame chicken drumsticks, quiches, fruit baskets, cheese and homemade chocolate cake you will have the opportunity to purchase photographs taken earlier in the morning. A large range of Outback Ballooning souvenirs are also available. Vegetarian and other dietary requirements should be notified at the time of booking.

Transfers back to your hotel, the airport or another tour, and a commemorative flight certificate completes your morning with Outback Ballooning.

• DESERT PARK - 30 minute balloon flight 
  Desert Park showcases the landscapes, animals and plants of Australia’s desert. 
  Includes: 
  Transfers, 30 minute Balloon Ride, Alice Springs Desert Park & entry fees.
  Departs: From the balloon flight you will be transferred to the Alice Springs Desert Park. 
  Return: Return transfers from the Desert Park are not included. (Transfers are available throughout the Park.)

• DESERT QUADS - 30 minute balloon flight and Desert Quad
  Package in Alice Springs
  After ballooning go on a quad bike adventure. Choose from morning or afternoon departure. Includes:
  - Transfers
  - 30 minute Balloon Flight
  - Breakfast
  - Approximately 1hr on quad bike.
  We will pick you up from your accommodation one and a half hours before dawn. Several departure times throughout the day for you to choose from.

  * This tour is not suitable for children under 12yrs.


Aviation Levy / Insurance  - Under the Civil Aviation Laws of Australia, all Air Operator Certificate Holder Companies and individuals engaged in commercial aviation are required by Law to insure all passengers to a minimum of $500,000 per passenger seat plus Third Party Liability. Consequently it is necessary to collect an on-board insurance fee from each passenger. The Civil Aviation requirement concerning Passenger liability Insurance is not optional. The fee is $25.00 per passenger, payable by cash or credit card to the crew.
