Explore the Outback by camel
|
|
|
An opportunity to get to know your camel, its personality, temperament. patience & strength. You will understand why they describe the camel as “a horse designed by a committee” and why it was worked so successfully in Outback Australia. Swaying along at a leisurely pace high on a camels back, gives you great views of this country. Ride away from traffic and closer to nature. Our skilled guides will talk about camels and the flora & fauna along the trail. The dry, sandy Todd River bed, ancient gnarled eucalypts and the MacDonnell Ranges are typical of Central Australian landscapes and make this a special place to ride.
You will find us just 5km south east of town along the Ross
Highway. Clothes: We recommend that you wear casual, comfortable clothing: a light long sleeved shirt for summer evening rides (October to April) and layers of clothing that can be adapted to the changing weather for winter and spring (May to September). For protection bring sunglasses, a hat, insect repellent and sunscreen lotion. Insurance: You are
strongly advised to take out comprehensive insurance cover before the tour
commences. This should include loss of deposit, cancellation charges,
personal money, loss or damage of baggage, additional expenses, personal
accident and personal liability. Cancellation: On
rare occasions, heavy rain in Central Australia forces us to cancel our
tours. |
