GENERAL
INFORMATION
Alice Springs Holidays operates tours throughout
Australia. These tours involve travel through outback
areas which are sometimes remote and isolated. For
these reasons we reserve the right to alter itineraries,
accommodation and transport as the necessity arises
by way of weather, road, mechanical defect or any
other operational conditions.
Any personal expenses
incurred by a passenger as a result of any delay,
alteration or curtailment of any tour is at the sole
responsibility of the passenger. Alice Springs Holidays
is unable to guarantee exact arrival and departure times
and is not liable for any failure
to make connection with or
guarantee operation of
any particular
service.
A lot of our touring in the Centre and Top End of
Australia involves Aboriginal Culture in some way,
whether it be by way of the land we travel on or the
communities we visit. Certain events like traditional
ceremonies, or death may render access to these
areas either limited or denied.
Other requirements we find very helpful are a small
set of binoculars, a personal water bottle, a small note
pad and pen, your camera, plenty of film, along with
a spare battery, and a small backpack leaving your
hands free for photography or whatever.
A good hat
and sun screen with insect repellent, swimmers and
towel, and sunglasses are essential items.
Personal
items such as toiletries and an ample supply of
medication is advisable as some tours access areas
remote from shops and other conveniences.
While on holidays you may experience a wide variety
of situations requiring a selection of clothing and
accessories from swim wear, to evening attire, to
casual day clothes. Keeping your luggage under
10 kilograms is recommended and is a must if travelling
by light aircraft or small 4WD to remote areas.
Special requirements of any nature should be advised
at time of enquiry so that the best advise and
arrangements can be made to suit your individual
needs. Whether it be dietary or other we will consider
your personal needs.
