ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS Jindabyne
Set on the shores of beautiful Lake Jindabyne this town boasts an endless range of
diverse and value for money accommodation with plenty of restaurants and entertainment to choose
from including live bands and nightclubs. Jindabyne offers easy access to both Perisher Blue & Thredbo
ski resorts - just a 30 minute drive; with shuttle services for those without a car.
In Between
A variety of accommodation on either the Alpine Way - the road to Skitube and Thredbo;
or the Kosciuszko Road - the road to Smiggin Holes and Perisher Blue, for those who like to be that little bit
closer to the resorts without paying resort prices. Many of these accommodation houses also provide free
shuttle services to the resorts.
Thredbo
Thredbo offer the longest and highest skiing and boarding trails anywhere in
Australia. There are 12 lifts including four quad chairlifts catering to all levels of skiers and
boarders — there’s even a purpose-built beginners area for first timers serviced by its own
quad chairlift. Enjoy the unique atmosphere of this beautiful alpine village that also offers
a great variety of restaurants, shops, cafes, bars the AIS/TATC Sports Centre with indoor
swimming pool, day and overnight parking available. Try something different, FREE Night
Skiing Tuesdays & Saturdays in July and August.
Perisher Blue
Perisher Blue is Australia’s Biggest Ski Resort with an
awesome 1250 snow covered hectares incorporating seven mountain peaks
across four great resorts all interlinked by an amazing network of 51 lifts and
available on the one ticket. This means there is always plenty of room to move.
All conveniences are available on your doorstep from supermarket, newsagent.
chemist and a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. After the rhythm of
the slopes an abundance of nightlife ensures the beat goes on — or if
you prefer, relax around a cosy fire and share the day’s adventures.

Travelling to Jindabyne
By Car:
Sydney to Jindabyne 476kms.
Melbourne to Jindabyne 682kms (via Alpine Way).
Canberra to Jindabyne 1 67kms.
Cooma to Jindabyne 60kms.
By Coach:
Coaches depart from Sydney, Brisbane & Canberra for Jindabyne and the resorts —
enquire about rates.
By Air:
Fly into Canberra or Cooma Airport. Transfers available from both airports — enquire
about rates.
Rental Cars are also available from both airports.
Travelling to the Snowfields
Jindabyne to Thredbo 36kms (via Alpine Way).
Jindabyne to Perisher 35kms (via Kosciuszko
Road).
Jindabyne to Skitube - Bullocks Flat Station 20kms (via Alpine Way).
Kosciuszko National Park
Entry permits are required for all vehicles at Park Entry Gates. Rates for cars are
$15 per day
or $80 for an annual pass - the fee is payable for every day spent in the park. Snow chains are
required to be carried in all 2 and 4 wheel drive vehicles within the National Park. Vehicles
travelling between Thredbo National Park entrance and Thredbo Village are exempt.
Parking in the Resorts
Thredbo
Day and overnight parking is available in Thredbo — free of charge. Perisher & Smiggins
Day parking is available at Perisher and Smiggin Holes — free of charge. There is NO overnight
parking available at Perisher or Smiggin Holes (limited overnight parking is available only at
specific accommodation houses). Overnight and long-term parking is available at the Skitube
Station at Bullocks Flat which is located outside the National Park entry gates — free of charge.
The Skitube provides transfers to Perisher Valley at an extra cost. Oversnow transport is then
available at Perisher Valley Skitube Station for transfers to accommodation houses at an extra
cost (some accommodation houses provide courtesy oversnow transport — enquire with your
consultant). A courtesy shuttle bus operates between Perisher and Smiggins daily until 6pm.
Alternatively, parking is available at Sawpit Creek in the National Park midway between
Jindabyne and Perisher — free of charge. A shuttle bus service is then available for transfers to
Smiggins or Perisher - limited times and at an extra cost.
