Coveted by many who have experienced this natural World Heritage listed wonderland as 'the most beautiful island on the planet', Lord Howe is best described as a perpetual state of calm.

A mere 280 people are lucky enough to call the island home, with visitor numbers restricted, by law, to just 400 at any one time.

After a flight of less than two hours from Sydney or Brisbane,
you'll take in your first glimpse of mountain peaks, skyscraping above the serenity of the western lagoon. (A sight even world weary travellers rave about).

Step from your aircraft onto the immaculately manicured lawns surrounding the tarmac and the first thing you'll notice is the air. Fresh, salty and clear as a bell.

It's a place of extraordinary contrasts. Volcanic peaks and deep rainforests. Smooth, rolling surf and tranquil lagoons. Exotic diving birds and breathtaking diving sites. Scenic bush trails and secluded fishing coves.

The only rule here is : there are no rules.
