EntranceIn a climate of rare tranquillity, Tower Lodge has been designed as the ultimate retreat for discerning guests and executive boards requiring exclusivity. Tower Lodge accommodates a maximum of 24 persons at a time, ensuring your peace and privacy.

The ‘Spanish Mission’ exterior refutes what lies within the walls of the Lodge and the 100-year-old French coach house doors provide an impressive entrance. The main building houses a reception and lobby area from where you pass through one of two massive, monastery doors to the bar-lounge and on into the grand dining room.

A favourite winter spot is the library located next to the dining room. Vault-like and cosy, there are some wonderful old classic editions, novels, magazines, daily newspapers and a selection of games and an antique card table. The spaces within the Lodge are furnished, as you would expect an exclusive house or chateau. Antiques, treasures and collectibles; rich fabrics and recycled old timbers.

An enormous fireplace in the lounge room is crowned with a paua shell encrusted mirror of significant dimensions; this typifies the nicely eccentric excess that prevails throughout the Lodge and the guestrooms.

Among the many features are stained glass windows, furniture from a French château and Chinese dynasty tapestries.

Recreation

For guest’s leisure the Lodge has an 18 - hole golf putting course designed by our very own Chairman, Len Evans AO OBE. There are also several other international standard golf courses to choose from within a few minutes drive of the Lodge.

On the western perimeter of the Lodge within a private, enclosed compound is a heated outdoor lap pool, a sauna, gym, and a massage treatment room. Golf courses just a few minutes drive from the Lodge
Guests may also choose to have massage in the privacy of their guestroom.

For the more energetic the Estate has a 1.6kms walking track connecting the restaurants and winery to the Lodge and in March the full size tennis court will be completed.

Beyond Tower Estate the Hunter Valley wine country offers a variety of experiences. You can visit some of the country’s oldest wineries and vineyards. Established since the 1800s the Hunter winemaking industry has flourished, with now over eighty wineries and cellar doors not to mention restaurants and cafes.

Travel in air-conditioned commuters, vintage cars, or by horse and carriage or take to the skies in a hot air balloon. Discover the Convict Trail on an adventure hike or mountain bike or take an early morning or twilight stroll and see kangaroos grazing in misty paddocks. Winery

Visit the many historic villages like Wollombi, Morpeth and Maitland and bargain for local art, crafts and antiques.

The Valley has a calendar full of events like Jazz in the Vines and Opera in the Vineyards to name a few. Or, take a rug, a glass of wine, some cheese and lie under a gum tree!
