FAQ

Do I need a boat license?

You do not need a boat license or any other special qualifications to hire one of our boats. The cruisers are very easy to operate with a steering wheel and one lever for forward and reverse. You receive a thorough briefing on the operation of the boat by one of our trained staff at boarding. We also help you set off, and on return, we will moor the boat for you.

Is fuel included in the hire charge or is it extra?

Fuel is extra. It is based on how long you run the engine for. Fuel is charged on a per engine hour basis for cruisers and on a usage basis for houseboats. The average hourly running is 2 hours per day.

Is there security parking for my car?

Yes. There is a public car park opposite the marina. Security guards patrol the car park and marina from 6PM to 6AM, 7 days a week.

How big is the stove?

The stove is gas operated and has 2 top burners, grill and a small oven. The oven takes a medium, 2-litre casserole dish.

No. There are no 240-volt facilities on board.

How big is the fridge?

The fridge is slightly larger than a bar fridge and there is also ample cool storage space.

Is there a TV, video, CD and radio on board?

    Yes.

What is the electrical voltage on board?

12 volt only (like a car battery). Therefore, you cannot plug in a standard 240-volt hairdryer.
