Day 1 Perth to Valley of the Giants

After heading south through the
towns of Rockingham, Mandurah we break at Donnybrook for morning tea. Regarded
locally as the 'apple town', Donnybrook is famous for its apple and stone fruit
orchards. Our brief stop will allow you time to purchase some of the locally
grown fruit (including oranges, apples, pears, nectarines, etc in season).
Leaving Donnybrook we relax into scenic touring through the rolling farmlands of
the Blackwood River Valley then moving into old growth forest country. Stopping
at the 51 metre tall Diamond Tree a bush fire watch tower, we break for lunch.
Afterwards we pass by stunning sections of old growth Karri forest, the world's
third tallest tree before reaching the amazing Valley of the Giants, Tree Top
Walk reaching 40 metres into the forest canopy. A ground level walk is available
through the Ancient Empire, a remarkable pocket of Tingle Forest, wide girthed
trees up to 5 metres wide.

Day 2 Pemberton to Margaret River

We begin at the 61 metre tall
Gloucester Tree a bush fire watchtower lookout followed by the Fine Wood Craft
Gallery, Western Australia's most awarded regional gallery. After morning tea at
Beedalup Falls, we lunch at Australia's most southwesterly point, Augusta and
visit Cape Leeuwin where the Indian and Great Southern Oceans meet. Entering the
Margaret River Region, we stop for coastal views at Surfer's Point
Lookout.
Dinner & Overnight: Best Western Emerald Colonial Lodge,
Margaret River or similar.
Day 3 Margaret River to Perth

This morning we visit Eagles Heritage
Raptor Centre housing the largest collection of raptors in Australia. We take a
guided tour of Mammoth Cave followed by wine tasting at Xanadu Winery then a
lively Australian sheep dog and shearing demonstration at the Yallingup Shearing
Shed. Our last stop is at Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the
Southern Hemisphere, return to Perth at approximately 6.30 pm.
