Sydney, Indian Pacific Rail

Board the Indian Pacific at Sydney's Central Station. Passengers travel independently in Gold Sleeper Cabin accommodation. Sit back and unwind with all meals included on board. Dx1

Day 3
The Nullarbor Plain

Cross the Nullarbor Plain along the famous 478 kilometre-long straight. Keep an eye out for a sighting of the Australian Wedge-tailed eagle as you enjoy full service on board. Bx1 Lx1 Dx1

Day 4
Indian Pacific, Arrive Perth
Two Night Stay: Perth, Novotel Langley Hotel

At the end of your rail journey, you are transferred from the Perth Rail Terminal to your hotel in the centre of the city. Spend the day at leisure before commencing your APT extended tour tomorrow.Bx1

Day 5
Perth, Karakamia Wildlife Sanctuary, Welcome Dinner

Experience the Karakamia Wildlife Sanctuary, managed by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. Enjoy a dusk nature walk and Welcome Dinner amid the Jarrah woodlands. You may even see some the endangered species that populate this haven, including the numbat and the quenda. Bx1 Dx1

Day 6
Historic York, Wildflower Farm, Wave Rock, Hyden
Stay: Hyden, Wave Rock Hotel

Cross the Jarrah forests of the Darling Ranges to historic York, classified by the National Trust, for a tour with a local guide. Stop off at a local Wildflower Farm (Sept.-Oct.) and absorb the beauty before travelling to the quaint outback town of Hyden. Marvel at the incredible Wave Rock, over 100 metres in length and rising 15 metres, giving the impression of a huge wave just about to break. Bx1 Dx1

Coolgardie, Kalgoorlie

Pink Lake, Meet Local Wildflower Expert, Historic Albany

In Albany choose to visit the Mt Romance Bodycare Factory and sample some products. Or board a catamaran on Albany's harbour for a whale-watching cruise. Tour Whale World at Cheyne's Beach and then head to Torndirrup National Park to see native wildflowers along the Stoney Hill Heritage Trail. Bx1

Fremantle, Freedom of Choice Touring, Perth, Dine Around Dinner

This morning perhaps join the Fremantle tram tour and cruise back to Perth along the Swan River, or spend the morning exploring Fremantle Prison or the Maritime Museum. Perth, New Norcia, Coomberdale Wildflower Farm, Kalbarri

Head north to New Norcia, a charming town showing the influence of Spanish Benedictine monks. Spend some time in the museum and visit the art gallery exhibiting religious art pieces. Kalbarri National Park, Shark Bay, Seafood Feast
Two Night Stay: Shark Bay, Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort

Visit Kalbarri National Park and marvel at the unique landscape. This area of Western Australia is known for its floral beauty sweeping across the rolling sand plains. Travel to Eagle Bluff (subject to road conditions) where the views from this cliff-top vantage point are breathtaking. Look out for sharks, dugongs, rays and large fish that regularly visit the shallow waters below. Then head north to Monkey Mia located in World Heritage-listed Shark Bay. Monkey Mia Dolphins, Denham, Freedom of Choice Touring

Monkey Mia has attracted dolphins to its shores daily for more than forty years. This morning you will have the opportunity to spend some time with these dolphins (subject to appearance). Visit the local Shark Bay Interpretive Centre to learn about this World Heritage-listed region. After, participate in a Freedom of Choice activity. Join a special wildlife cruise in search of the dugong. Or discover how the local Malgana Aboriginal people have survived in 'Gathaagudu' for thousands of years (subject to availability). Shell Beach, Stromatolites, Geraldton, Dine Around Dinner

Nambung National Park, Pinnacles, Perth

Explore Nambung National Park with its eerie limestone pillars that create a strange landscape reminiscent of a science-fiction movie.
