Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Launceston
On your arrival at Launceston Airport we transfer you to your hotel for check-in, before an afternoon tour of the Tamar Valley. We'll visit Rosevears Vineyard for a wine tasting and see the Swiss style Village of Grindelwald, before returning to the hotel for a welcome drink and dinner with your Tour Director and fellow passengers.

Day 2: St. Helens
A guided tour of Bridestowe Lavender Farm (early December to early February) gets things rolling today. We'll see Legerwood's WWI memorial carvings, Derby and drive through the lush Myrtle Rainforest at Weldborough Pass to St. Helens. This afternoon we take the short coastal drive to Binalong Bay Lookout for spectacular views over the Bay of Fires. Return to the picturesque seaside town of St. Helens for dinner.

Day 3: Freycinet National Park
Prepare yourself for the breathtaking beauty of Freycinet National Park. A guided walk with a National Park Ranger will unveil astonishing views across brilliant blue water, forest and golden beach. Cape Tourville Lookout
will astound. Lunchtime is at the historic sandstone village of Richmond, site of Australia's oldest operational road bridge. In the afternoon get your camera ready for the impressive cliff-lined coast as we cross the 100 year old Denison Canal on the way to Port Arthur. Test your nerve on the optional lantern lit Ghost Tour of Port Arthur.

Day 4: Port Arthur
We begin with a fascinating guided walk of Port Arthur's infamous convict prison and Historic Site, then a cruise around the Isle of the Dead. View the ruggedly spectacular sea cliffs from Pirate's Bay Lookout. Cross Eaglehawk Neck - once the guarded check-point between the mainland and convicts - on to the Tasman Peninsula to feast our eyes on the amazing vistas of Tasman's Arch, Devil's Kitchen and the Blowhole. We return to our hotel for dinner. B D
Day 5: Hobart
Today we set a course for Hobart. We'll get up close and personal with Tasmanian Devils and other native animals at Bonorong Wildlife Park. Further on we visit Claremont to see the Cadbury Chocolate Factory (seasonal). Hobart is all yours for the afternoon, explore it as you wish - maybe take an optional Derwent River Cruise or walk through historic, quaint Battery Point exploring its galleries, cafes and houses that convicts built.

Day 6: Huon Valley
The Huon Valley's apple growing hills undulate before us as we make our way to the Tahune Forest AirWalk. A guided walk amongst the towering treetops, out over the Huon and Picton Rivers, unveils spectacular views from the cantilevered, suspended walkway. At lunchtime, we head to Geeveston's Forest and Heritage Centre to gain an insight into the history of wood in Tasmania. We'll see a spectacular view of Hobart and the Derwent River from Mt. Nelson. Our Hobart orientation tour takes in Battery Point, Salamanca Place and the Botanic Gardens. Then you're free to dine wherever you like. B D
Day 7: Russell Falls
Take a wander through the Salamanca Market then head west to New Norfolk and the magnificent Mt. Field National Park - Tasmania's oldest - site of the spectacular three-tiered Russell Falls. Morning tea, then we'll wind our way up to Lake St. Clair at lunchtime and amazing vistas. Back down to Queenstown, we travel along the rainforest-bordered road of World Heritage protected Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park to coastal Strahan - a journey of exploration.

Day 8: Gordon River Cruise
Start the day your way - simply relax or explore the fishing village of Strahan - enjoy an optional, highly recommended, train ride on the West Coast Wilderness Railway or maybe visit the Huon Pine Museum. This afternoon the Gordon River - where the wilderness comes to the water's edge - awaits! The Gordon River Cruise takes us up this pristine, heritage-listed river. You'll be awestruck by the beauty of the crystal clear water reflecting the untouched wilderness. We'll stop at Sarah Island, Heritage Landing - site of the 1,000 year old Huon Pine - and have dinner onboard our cruiser. B HD
Day 9: Cradle Mountain
Discover the engineer within as we travel through the mining and hydro electric towns of Rosebery and Tullah, toward the sensational Cradle Mountain National Park. After lunch, then we'll take you up to Waldheim and gorgeous Dove Lake to see spectacular Cradle Mountain. The afternoon is yours. Explore the Australian National Wilderness and Landscape Gallery, just marvel at the view or just breathe in the fresh air.

Day 10: Depart Launceston
This morning you will be transferred to Launceston Airport for your onward flight. B
