Huon Bush Retreats is set in an extensive private nature reserve just 50 minutes? drive south of Hobart, near Huonville in the Huon Valley, Tasmania.

We offer a peaceful and secluded environment and a true retreat with accommodation for couples and families, including self-contained studio and two bedroom cabins, tipees and campgrounds, a 5km bushwalking track network, an abundance of wildlife on your doorstep and a sample of the fine food and wine of the Huon Trail region.

Huon Bush Retreats is an award winning, carbon neutral (Green Globe accredited) retreat offering guests a choice of contemporary, self contained cabins, deluxe tipees and private campsites against an inspiring backdrop of Tasmanian native forest.

With easy access to 5km of interpreted walking tracks through rainforest, to a hidden waterfall or a mountaintop, you will not miss internet or television here. Your cabin is comfortably catered for with gas cooking facilities, fresh rainwater, solar powered lights, an eco-friendly composting toilet, a cosy wood heater and a private outdoor bath.

Each cabin is located in its own unique bush setting. Modern steel construction has allowed us to build amongst the natural bushland without major clearings.

Each cabin and tipee has a deck with outdoor furniture. Prepare your meals in the well equipped kitchen then relax by the wood fire or soak under the stars in your outdoor bath.
