Itinerary
Day 1 Thu: Kangaroo Island
Depart Adelaide at 1.00pm. Start with a scenic drive through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis to board our ferry to Kangaroo Island for our two night stay. Tonight we'll have a welcome drink and dinner with your Tour Director and fellow travellers at the Aurora Ozone Hotel, overlooking the spectacular Backstair Passage.

Day 2 Fri: Kangaroo Island
Today we explore Kangaroo Island! At Seal Bay we'll take a guided tour along the beach among the nation's third largest and most accessible colony of Australian Sea Lions. We'll experience more great photo opportunities at the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral's Arch. We'll also do some koala, wallaby and kangaroo spotting at Flinders Chase National Park. BLD
Day 3 Sat: Adelaide
This morning we cruise by ferry back to Cape Jervis and elegant Adelaide. We'll stop at the picturesque coastal village of Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Here you'll have some free time to explore, maybe take a walk to Granite Island and see some sensational coastal views. On arrival in Adelaide we'll see the sights of the city. The rest of the day is yours to explore the gorgeous'City of Churches'.

Day 4 Sun: Adelaide
Travel through Meningie, located on the shores of Lake Albert. Then it's through Millicent to Mt. Gambier, deep in the heart of the Limestone Coast.

Day 5 Mon: Tower Hill - Warrnambool
Our first stop is at the spectacular and mysterious Blue Lake. We then skirt the Lower Glenelg National Park and travel along the coast over the border into Victoria. Continue through picturesque Port Fairy and marvel at the pristine vistas. This afternoon we visit Worn Gundidi at Tower Hill State Game Reserve. Erupting 32,000 years ago Tower Hill's volcanic formation is the largest example in Victoria. The area was a rich food source for the Koroitgundidj people whose descendants retain links with this country. Our guide will provide us with an Aboriginal perspective about flora, wildlife, volcanic formations, bush existence and medicinal practices. On to Warrnambool, the Whale Watching capital.

Day 6 Tue: Great Ocean Road
Hold on to your seats today for one of the world's great road trips - the Great Ocean Road. We'll get plenty of photo opportunities along this gorgeous coastal road, including a visit to the amazing Twelve Apostles, world famous Bells Beach and the surfing-mecca Torquay. We pass Geelong, Victoria's largest provincial city, en route to culturally diverse and totally cosmopolitan Melbourne.

Day 7 Wed: Melbourne 'Free Time'
Today Melbourne is all yours to explore. You'll have time to discover some of the secrets of this exceptional city - a myriad of cafes, galleries, museums, markets, laneways and parks await you. Or if you want to get out of town you can take a tour to Phillip Island's Little Penguins, the Yarra Valley's wineries or Sovereign Hill's goldmine. You're spoilt for choice.
A dinner option tonight is on board the distinctive Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. B
Day 8 Thu: Beechworth
We travel through Glenrowan, Ned Kelly country, en route to beautiful Beechworth, Victoria's best preserved gold rush town, for our unique overnight stay in one of the Bed and Breakfast properties. Familiarise yourself with a tour and some free time to explore the legendary Beechworth Bakery with its fresh pastries and sweets, as well as the antique shops and galleries.

Day 9 Fri: Canberra
It's over the mighty Murray River into New South Wales. As we travel the Alpine Way you'll be awestruck by the stunningly picturesque Kosciuszko National Park - home to mobs of kangaroos. You'll have the option to take a ride on the Mt. Kosciuszko chairlift and experience Australia's highest point! Then we'll travel to Cooma, home of the Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme and on to Canberra, the nation's capital, for the evening.

Day 10 Sat: Depart Sydney
This morning we'll tour through Parliament House and visit the Australian War Memorial. Travelling onwards towards Sydney, we'll visit a working sheep farm, Gold Creek Sheep Station and enjoy an Aussie barbecue lunch. We continue our journey with a stop at historic Berrima, famous for its gaol, in the Southern Highlands before arriving in the harbour capital. You will be transferred to Sydney Airport for your onward flight. BL
