 | Paradise Bay Luxury Resort Information Summary | Number of Rooms at Paradise Bay Luxury Resort: 10 Nearby activities and attractions:Paradise Bay is located just a short 5 minute helicopter flight from Hamilton Island or Airlie Beach, which some of our guests enjoy a pre or post night's stay at either place. The Paradise Bay experience is deliberately and unashamedly pared back to a simple, relaxed but oh so indulgent escape.
Attractions each day include a sailing trip on the resort's private catamaran, picnic lunches on remote nearby islands and working up an appetite for cocktails and canapes each day followed by a three course dinner. Throw off the stress, worry, demands and incessant irritation of modern life and step back to the way that an island holiday should be - sleep ins, toes in the sand, the sound of lapping waves, days messing around in boats, cocktails at sun set and the most amazing gourmet experience under the million star blanket of the Milky Way. Ahhh, that's more like it! Getting to Paradise Bay Luxury ResortYou can be relaxing on the beach at Paradise Bay Eco Escape within 3 hours of departing Sydney. There is a major domestic airport on Hamilton island, right in the middle of the Whitsundays, with regular daily flights by JETSTAR and VIRGIN BLUE direct to Hamilton island from Sydney, Brisbane & Cairns.
A representative from the helicopter company will meet you at Hamilton Island airport and the helicopter will fly you direct to Paradise Bay any time between 7.30am and 5pm to suit your flight arrival times. Your departure from Paradise Bay can also be arranged any time between 7.30am and 5pm to suit your flight departure time. During busy times we may need you to check out of your room earlier (by 11am) but you are welcome to use the facilities of Paradise Bay (including the 'Wilderness Explorer' catamaran and 'Fast Rib' boat) until your Helicopter arrives. Helicopter transfer costs are included in the tariff at Paradise Bay. The spectacular scenic flight takes just 10 minutes from Hamilton Island. There is a 15kg (30 pound) per person weight limit for helicopters, but additional luggage can be stored at the airport. Personal luggage should be in soft bags for helicopter transfers. Alternatively, you can fly with JETSTAR or VIRGIN BLUE to Proserpine Whitsunday Coast airport on the mainland and then take a 30 minute shuttle bus to Airlie Beach airport (which is a small plane airport only), from where the helicopter will pick you up.
Please note they cannot transfer late in the afternoon. The helicopter flight takes about 10 minutes from Airlie Beach. If driving to the area, there is secure parking available at Airlie Beach airport. Dining at Paradise Bay Luxury ResortAt Paradise Bay we believe that every meal should be a dining experience of incredible flavours and creations. Paradise Bay searches the world for gourmet chefs to create outstanding and inspiring meals. Each day you're treated with a variety of distinctive and delicious hand crafted gourmet meals that reflect local produce and seasonal delicacies.
Breakfast Enjoy a continental buffet breakfast each morning including fruit, croissants, cereals freshly baked muffins and more, plus chef's surprise hot dish that might be an old favourite (French Toast and Bacon or Eggs Benedict) or a special creation inspired by the freshest of local ingredients. Lunch Feast on a tasty 'picnic' style lunch, consisting of a light pasta salad or perhaps a delicious cold cous cous salad, complimented with fresh fruit, cheese and biscuits, cold drinks and plenty of snacks such as gourmet nuts, muffins and cookies all freshly baked from that morning.
We'll anchor at the most exclusive and remote islands, where you can relax and enjoy lunch with the group, or grab a blanket and find your own private piece of sand for a picnic lunch for two. Dinner Dinner at Paradise Bay is truly an experience where Chef will try to impress you with their latest and greatest creation. Every day fresh food and produce is brought to the island and Chef goes to work making sauces from scratch, hand rolling pasta, presenting only the best cuts of meat and the freshest of seafood. Each course is matched to quality wines especially chosen from the owner's cellar of Australian Boutique favorites. And the entire experience is carried out with your fellow guests sparking conversations from kindred spirits under the Milky Way in all its glorious wonder (of course we sneak inside if the weather is not cooperating). Savor delectable entrees such as butternut pumpkin gnocchi with garlic butter and macadamias. Then, be tempted with a beautifully cooked piece of salmon, lightly seared with a truffle risotto, or perhaps a serve of delicious pork belly with a side of sea scallops with capsicum and baby herb salad. And for desert, a sweet chocolate pudding with a vanilla and cinnamon custard, or a refreshing vanilla bean panacotta with strawberry consomme and shaved basil. Every day is a surprise of consistently outstanding gourmet dining. Activities at Paradise Bay Luxury ResortOur philosophy is that by temporarily escaping from the normal distractions of modern life, guests really connect with themselves, those around them, and the environment - in a way that helps them rediscover the simple pleasures and natural rhythm of life... and our resort activities are focused around this philosophy. A typical day in Paradise Bay - There's only three simple (and magical) things you need to know -
1.Breakfast is waiting for you when you get up
2.Your skipper is ready to take you on your daily boating adventure mid morning
3.Cocktails and Canapes are at sunset! Your Paradise Bay Hosts take care of everything else!
You'll arrive as guests and leave (we may have to drag you to the helicopter) as friends! The Paradise 'Experience' in detail - As you arrive at Paradise Bay by helicopter, our hosts will be there to greet you with cold towels while your bags are whisked away to your beachfront bungalow. Sink into the comfy couches while enjoying a glass of champagne, as our hosts tell you a bit about the Paradise Bay philosophy. The afternoon allows time to get settled in and perhaps go for a dip in the crystal clear Whitsundays water, before freshening up for dinner.
No dress code here - remember you're at a rich friend's beach retreat - come in your 'best' island relaxed gear. Pre-dinner cocktails and canapes are served daily at 6.30pm where you'll meet the other guests in the gazebo area as you sip on your sundowner and admire the sunset. The evening meal is a highlight of the Paradise Bay experience, with a three course dinner prepared by our gourmet chefs with superb Australian wines from the owner's cellar to match. Many guests remake that the meals they experience are on par with the best restaurants they have dinned in and true gourmands are very satisfied. Our Philosophy is 'Chef knows best' and as the Paradise Bay Chefs are both highly skilled and unrestrained in what they prepare we leave the menu choice up to them - it's often an amazing treat. Each night is a new creation whipped up from the best and freshest local produce. And after all this is a holiday so indulgence is encouraged! Of course if you have any special needs or dietary restrictions we are more than happy to cater (please let us know prior to arrival). After dinner guests enjoy some great conversation and share their stories from the day, or might retire to the gazebo couches for a game of Pictionary or even sit around the bonfire to toast marshmallows. As you retreat to your beachfront bungalow you'll hear the scurries of native wildlife in the surrounding bush, and the water lapping at the shore just footsteps from your door.
Enjoy a peaceful sleep in our luxurious king size Paradise beds and stroll down for a leisurely breakfast after 8am, where you will be treated to a sumptuous continental buffet spread all with fresh produce. Our chefs will also cook up a hot dish each day too, and special requests are cheerily catered for! As breakfast is finishing our friendly skipper will say hello and discuss with you the boating activity for the day on either the resort's private catamaran or our fast rib boat for more of an adventure! With over thirty different locations that we frequent, no two days are ever the same!
Enjoy snorkeling, swimming and kayaking, turtle spotting and whale spotting (in August to October), or just lazing on one of the Whitsunday's amazing beaches. Feast on a picnic lunch prepared fresh each day by our chefs and take in the scenery on a remote Whitsundays island before heading back to Paradise. Our hosts will be there to greet you after your day out on the water with a cold drink and some afternoon tea consisting of fresh baked cakes and muffins. There's free time to sit on your private verandah with a drink and some afternoon snacks, or laze in your hammock and watch the tide roll out. Then before you know it 6.30pm has rolled around and it's time to sample the cocktail of the day and canapes with your fellow guests as the sun sets over the beautiful Conway National Park. The best part of your stay at Paradise Bay is that you're also doing your part for the environmenteaving nothing but footprints behind with Paradise Bay being one of Australia's most authentic environmentally sustainable resorts. Relax and leave the pampering to our dedicated, friendly team. Indulge in the ultimate luxuries - peace, quiet, getting close to (and sometimes touching) nature, seeing the stars in the sky, exploring private islands, deserted beaches, coral gardens under the billowing sails of our exclusive catamaran, expertly skippered by our friendly crew. Let us spoil you in Paradise. What could be more romantic than lazy days boating, king size super soft beds, gourmet food and cocktails and quiet time by the beach? We invite you to come and experience Paradise for yourself.
