Hotel Facilities - Information
Wake to the call of birds in one of our rainforest cabins and enjoy the clear pure air of the Daintree.
Just 18km across the Daintree River, north of Cairns, there is a paradise hidden in the lowland rainforest, where guests can "Experience the Living Museum" of the Daintree.
Bounded by Cooper Creek and offering crystal clear rock pools, the Heritage Lodge has spectacular private walking tracks and adjoins the Cape Tribulation National Park. Here, there is a level of unsurpassed serenity where new species of flora and fauna are created continually. Set in the rainforest, yet the perfect stepping stone to the Great Barrier Reef. The Heritage... for those seeking beauty and tranquility.
Heritage Lodge provides guests with the opportunity to escape from the realities of daily life into an area that boasts the World Heritage listed lush wet tropical rainforests and a gateway to our Great Barrier Reef. With only twenty cabins our guests numbers are limited.
During your stay with us you are free either to 'do it all' or you may prefer the quietude of the bubbling waters and crystal clear swimming holes of Cooper Creek. Four wheel drive safaris, reef trips and guided rainforest walks are all available from Heritage Lodge.
We are located about 2 hours drive north of the Cairns airport (taking into consideration a little leisurely sightseeing on what has been described as one of the most beautiful coastlines drives in Australia). The cosmopolitan village of Port Douglas is located half way between Cairns and the Daintree. Driving north through Mossman you will cross the Daintree River by river ferry. We are 18km north from here bordered by Cooper Creek, Thornton Beach is 5 min drive away and the beaches stretch on from there .....
Heritage is a boutique cabin style rainforest resort set onto Cooper Creek and adjoining Cape Tribulation National Park. Located north of the Daintree River, there is no mains power supply so we are independently equipped with two generators which run twenty four hours a day.
Step back in time and experience the magic of the "Heritage Lodge & Spa" in the Daintree. Just two hours North of Cairns, this is the only place in the world where two world heritage listed National Parks join. This section of the Daintree rainforest, is where the worlds most ancient rainforest, meets the reef.
