Discover for yourself the natural attractions which have justified Fraser Island's
World Heritage Listing.
Beautiful endless beaches, untamed wilderness set in lush rainforests with lakes and creeks ... this largest sand island in the world has so much to offer and one of those attractions is the Fraser Island Hideaway at Poyungan Valley.
Fraser Island Hideaway is the only secluded private accommodation, 2.7 km north of Poyungan rocks between Eurong and Happy Valley. Approximately 1/3 the way up the island, it is very central to the most popular tourist attractions including Lake Boomajin, Central Station, Lake Mc Kenzie, Lake Wabby, The Maheno, The Pinnacles and Eli Creek.
Our position right on the Pacific Ocean hidden behind the first sand dune, is protected from any strong winds and provides ultimate privacy. Nestled in a valley surrounded by lawn, lush gardens and National Park, your accommodation is just 100 meters walk down the sand track to the beach.
Some of the latest in technology has been incorporated to provide the best accommodation available. We are on a remote island and conservation of resources is of great importance to us. We have solar panels and a generator to make our own electricity and pump our beautiful mineral water from the ground so whilst this new home looks like any other, it has to operate as energy efficiently as possible, which we are sure you will all appreciate and find very interesting as we try to fit into this beautiful environment. Whilst other homes on Fraser Island still operate on 12volt lighting and gas fridges or limited 240volt power, at Fraser Island Hideaway you have the convenience of having someone attend to the generator, lights, water etc. plus the efficiency of 24 hr, 240 volt lighting, refrigeration and automatic washing machine.
Come stay with us .... and experience the Fraser Island that the ordinary tourist doesn't see! You'll be our guest, in your own, spacious fully self contained ground floor garden unit, offering the best secluded accommodation available on the Island.
