Sometimes referred to as Australia’s Grand Canyon, this extraordinary sandstone chasm plunges over three hundred feet into the earth. At the floor of the canyon you’ll discover The Garden of Eden, an exotic oasis of palms and ferns, as well as the eerie formations of weathered rock known as The Lost City.

Rich in fauna and flora, rock pools, sand plains and gullies, Kings Canyon has played an important role in Aboriginal life for over twenty thousand years. Today, Aboriginal guides conduct fascinating tours of the canyon and the surrounding Watarrka National Park.

Designed with the utmost sensitivity to the environment, the single-storey buildings that make up the resort nestle discreetly amongst the trees and rock faces.


It’s also designed with everybody in mind: with accommodation ranging from deluxe suites to camping grounds.

There’s a restaurant for fine dining and a café for affordable, light meals. And if you’re catering for yourself, there’s our mini supermarket. When it comes to making your outback adventure as comfortable and easy as possible, there’s everything you could ask for, from bars and swimming pools to a tennis court and a tour desk.
