Seven Spirit Bay Wilderness Lodge Situated in one of the world's most magnificent and untouched tropical wildernesses - the Australian Northern Territory's Garig Gunak Barlu National Park on the Cobourg Peninsula of Arnhem Land.
Northern Australia's first flora and fauna protection reserve, to stay on the Cobourg Peninsula is an exclusive privilege - entry is by permit only, and visitor numbers are extremely limited.
Seven distinct environments are protected here - from the ocean wilds to the shoreline, rivers, paperbark swamps, rainforest jungle, Arnhem Land bush and the age old rocks.
Just a few metres from the shores of the Arafura Sea, Seven Spirit Bay nestles among the trees in virtually untouched forest, designed to be in complete harmony with its environment.
Natural harmony, open to the sea breezes and the sights and sounds of the tropics - day and night - has been achieved through a design style that is tropical, relaxing and completely elegant.
Guests stay in 23 freestanding "habitats", while a central complex houses reception. lounge bar. restaurant, library and conference room, all overlooking the magnificent lagoon swimming pool and Coral Bay.

Naturally, special dietary requirements can be looked after as requested. Dining in tropical style in the cool of covered timber decking, guests enjoy unimpeded views of the Arafura Sea and the surrounding bushland.
Seven Spirit Bay is located 185 kilometres north-east of Darwin. The lodge is situated on the northern coastline of the Cobourg Peninsula in an almost completely unpopulated tropical wilderness area of some 2,200 square kilometres.
Despite its remote and secluded location. Seven Spirit Bay is only a 45 minute flight by light aircraft from Darwin to Midjari airstrip. located 15 kilometres from the Lodge. The scenic trip to the lodge by vechile introduces guests to the flora and fauna of the Cobourg wilderness. This journey is an integral part of the adventure experience, giving guests an appreciation of the remoteness of the location and its almost complete detachment from the modern world.
THE LODGE "SOCIAL HUB" RESTAURANT & BAR The restaurant opens onto the adjacent covered timber deck areas, which provide for tropical outdoor dining with views over the bay. The freshwater swimming pool is like a lagoon and shaded by palm trees and ferns. The superb cuisine includes the finest produce with emphasis on local seafood, meats, vegetables and tropical fruits. Please advise any special dietary requirements in advance. The cocktail bar/lounge is open all day and is stocked with quality Australian wines, spirits, liqueurs, champagnes and beers. The reference library provides informative reading material.

Two Queen size beds make for relaxed comfort, a refrigerator containing cold water and beverages, and tea and coffee making facilities make it easy to stay in the habitat in the languor of a tropical day.
ACCOMMODATIONGuests are privately housed in 23 large, hexagonal habitats, each secluded in the bush. With five sides featuring floor to ceiling louvered shades with screens to let in the breeze, the habitats allow the impression of total immersion in the tropical surroundings.
The habitats incorporate the best in tropical living, avoid the need for air-conditioning, and minimise environmental disturbance. Your private bathroom is adjacent to your habitat and allows guests to pretend they're in Eden, with showers surrounded by seductive gardens and open to the colours of the Top End sky.
