Depart Darwin and travel into World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Explore the ancient Aboriginal rock art at Ubirr, which has World Heritage listing. Following lunch, join the Guluyambi Cruise with an Aboriginal guide and cruise the beautiful East Alligator River. From your guide learn about the riverside flora and fauna, as well as traditional Aboriginal culture. Later, by special permission, take a short walk into Arnhem Land. Lx1
Day 2. Arnhem LandJoin a 4WD adventure into Arnhem Land to visit the Aboriginal community of Oenpelli and the rarely seen Mikinj Valley with its amazing sandstone outcrops and escarpments. Tours are led by an Aboriginal guide who will provide interesting commentary along the way. You'll learn about traditional land ownership, bush skills, hunting techniques and how to select and prepare bush tucker. View a display of Aboriginal rock art in its natural, untouched state. Lx1
Day 3.Nourlangie Rock, Yellow WaterStay: All Seasons Katherine
Today discover the Aboriginal art site at Nourlangie Rock. View the ancient x-ray style paintings and admire stunning views of the Arnhem Land escarpment. Continue to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Take a guided wildlife cruise on Yellow Water billabong, looking out for crocodiles. Continue to the town of Katherine. Lx1
Day 4. Nitmiluk National Park, Leliyn (Edith Falls), Katherine Gorge, Adelaide River War CemeteryEnter Nitmiluk National Park for a guided breakfast cruise through Katherine Gorge. Marvel at the coloured cliffs, and keep an eye out for wildlife. Call in at the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre, then travel to Leliyn, where you may wish to take a swim, (conditions permitting). Travel to Adelaide River and visit the war cemetery. Bx1
