Itinerary

Day 1.
Base Tour, Uluru (Ayers Rock) Sunset
Two Night Stay: Ayers Rock Resort - Outback Pioneer Lodge (Budget, shared facilities), Outback Pioneer Hotel (Standard), Desert Gardens (First-Class), Sails in the Desert (Deluxe)

Be welcomed at Ayers Rock Airport before 1.00 p.m. and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, visit the Cultural Centre and Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative. Walk to Mutitjulu waterhole. Join the guided Mala Walk and see caves, Aboriginal rock art and Kantju Gorge. Late this afternoon travel to Sunset Strip. As the sun sinks into the desert plain, view the show of changing light and colours upon Uluru. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as you witness the unveiling of a dazzling outback night sky, filled with a spectacular display of stars.

Day 2.
Uluru, Liru Walk, Aboriginal Culture, Sounds of Silence dinner, Astronomy Tour

Rise early and journey to our superb vantage point to watch the day's first light illuminate Uluru in a fantastic array of colours. Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to learn of the law and culture of the park's custodians, the Anangu people. Enjoy a tasty breakfast before taking the guided Liru Walk. Immerse yourself in ancient Aboriginal culture and see a demonstration of traditional bush skills. This afternoon relax and enjoy the resort's facilities. Shortly before sunset, journey into the desert for the Sounds of Silence dinner. As the sun sets behind the domes of Kata Tjuta, savour Australian delicacies such as kangaroo, emu, crocodile and barramundi. Then relax as an astronomer takes you on a tour of the outback stars. Day 3.
Uluru Sunrise, Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Alice Springs

Rise early and enter Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee as you witness Uluru at sunrise and see the desert come to life. With the sun climbing in the morning sky, travel to the western section of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to the immense 36 rock domes of Kata Tjuta. Take a guided walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge. Learn of the domes' formation and the rare plant and wildlife of the region. Transfer to Alice Springs arriving in the afternoon.

Day 3.
Depart Ayers Rock Resort

This morning there's time for optional activities before transferring to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight home.
