Itinerary

Day 1.
Mutitjulu Waterhole, Mala Walk, Sacred Kantju Gorge, Sunset Drinks at Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Stay: Ayers Rock Resort - Outback Pioneer Lodge (Budget, shared facilities), Outback Pioneer Hotel (Standard), Desert Gardens (First-Class), Sails in the Desert (Deluxe)

Be welcomed on arrival at Ayers Rock Airport by 1.00 p.m. and transfer to Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon stop in at the Cultural Centre and Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative. Join your guide for a walk to Mutitjulu. This ancient hunting-ground and waterhole is held sacred to the traditional owners. Learn about its cultural significance and the Aboriginal legends that surround it. Then join the guided Mala Walk and explore sacred Kantju Gorge. Day 2.
Uluru at Sunrise, Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Walpa (Olga) Gorge Walk, Alice Springs
Two Night Stay: Alice Springs - Comfort Outback Inn (Budget), All Seasons Oasis (Standard), Crowne Plaza (First Class), Alice Springs Resort, Deluxe Rivergum Room (Deluxe)

Rise early and with a tea or coffee in hand, enjoy the sunrise at Uluru. Travel to the western section of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to the immense 36 rock domes of Kata Tjuta. Enjoy a guided walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge. Marvel at the sheer walls that flank you as you enter the gorge. Learn of the domes' formation and of the wildlife of the region. This afternoon depart for Alice Springs, arriving at 6.30 p.m.

Day 3.
West MacDonnell Ranges, Alice Springs Tour. Travel to West MacDonnell National Park

Explore Simpsons Gap and stop at the Aboriginal site of Angkerle (Standley Chasm). Return to 'The Alice' and enjoy a fascinating town tour, taking in the views of the town from Anzac Hill. Visit the Old Telegraph Station, Royal Flying Doctor Service Base and the School of the Air. Lx1

Day 4.
Alice Springs at Leisure.

This morning you can explore 'The Alice' one last time. You might like to do some optional touring before transferring to the airport or railway station.
